So I was lagging hard while playing this and it made some stuff bug out. For one, the thing "jump-through" platforms would occasionally make me jump for no reason without warning. Then when I did enough levels to unlock new areas, when I went through the doorway glitch stuff happened and suddenly I was at the last area, with the door forward locked. When I tried to go back, it bugged out even further and softlocked XD I'd reduce to 4/5 because of that but it made me laugh, so 5/5 anyway
This game takes a serious thought rewiring, but it's still fun. Got stuck on level 4 for a solid 10 minutes before understanding and flying through the rest of the game.
Feedback: Update broke some finish lines. Lava is also able to be contacted so that is broken too. Some spikes still function while others are broken. I enjoy the game regardless :P This is a comparison of 44 to 45
Just throwing this out there for you maniacs after the impossible; I found world 7 MUCH easier than 6 for the no-death part. Just learn how the boulders move. They won't switch gravity unless they land to "reset" (I.E. whenever the white arrow appears). Using/abusing this, you can get them stuck on a floor. Also, in the last room of W7, if you just wait on the platform, you can get them all stuck on one side. When you want to switch what side they're stuck on, just move to the opposite half (at a safe spot!) and wait again.
5 (Personal one, but you don't have to): At the beginning of the game, dive at the sun.
(BUT SIR, WE WILL DIE!)
Actually, you (most likely) won't. Jumping at it gives you the Sun Dive bonus, which is worth some nice points and gives you a multiplier/combo bonus. There's also planets down there (Even though radar doesn't show at first) to land on, combo, turn around and go back up, etc.
And finally, 6: The radar is your friend, but barely. Be wary of it.
(But sir, what does this mean?)
Well, the thing is, the radar DOES show where every asteroid is...
...But it gives you no hint to its size. Use it only as a referrence for which way to press, left or right. The instant you see it's tiny, smash it.
Hope this helps everyone!
3: Speed is NOT everything.
That's right. I said it. Speed does not = high score (Unless you get that glitch, but that's besides the point, we're talking about winning the badge, not breaking the high score sheet). More speed = Less control. Less control = you're about to have a faceful of sun.
(But sir, how do we slow down?)
If you hold up, you'll smash asteroids when you hit them instead of land. Incidentally, this also slows you down, based on its size.
Speaking of asteroids...
4: Avoid tiny ones like the plague.
The ONLY reasons you should go towards these are A: You're going straight down and need to redirect, or B: You plan on smashing it for moar points. You have almost zero control of direction on them, both fast AND slow.
(But sir, the small asteroids can-)
No. They aren't worth it. You want a faceful of sun? Go ahead and land fast.
All right, I just got the hard badge, and a lot of people seem to be having trouble with it, so I'm going to post the guidelines I followed.
1: Combos are everything. EVERYTHING.
Moar combos = moar points. You have no combo, you have no points.
(But good sir, how do we keep these combos?)
2: The less time you're on asteroids, the higher your score will be.
Combo keeping is as simple as staying off asteroids. If you're on one for roughly 3/4 a second, your combo ends. It will not end for ANY other reason. I once spent about 20 seconds drifting in space without touching an asteroid, and guess what? My combo didn't end. It's represented by your multiplier.
(But sir, then I can't aim where I will go next!)
You can, you just have the bare minimum of time to. If you're going fast, just jump as soon as possible, if you're going slow, try to find a nearby asteroid to bounce to immediately so you can change angles on THAT one.
Which brings me to the next guideline...
After having painstakingly gained first place for distance in survival, I have one thing to say...
My index finger hurts. A lot ._.;
Them Cruisers and flaming pants, man XD
Glitch; If you get a triple damage bonus, and the level ends, it becomes permanent until you grab another. I haven't tested this with double cash, and I'm unsure if turning the game off deactivates it, though it also works in survival mode
Maybe next year.
