When a game makes you zoom to 500% to see the location of an upgrade there is clearly a problem with the game. We need a means to scroll through the upgrades. Also the background kind of hurts my eyes after all while. The game also needs more content. So while you have a working game here, it just needs some work to fix some things.
While it is nice that the background of the game is black, which is way easier on the eyes then the normal white background most games have, the purple however is a little painful for me to look at after a while. Not sure if anyone else is having that problem but I figured I would say something.
Next, I have no idea what boost the different floors give when you buy their upgrade. So I have no idea if I'm doing good for my game by buying them or not. Maybe have a little pop up when you hover over them so that players can see what they do to the stats before they buy?
You have informations in menu tab, i was thinking about hover now i know how to do it easy so meaby i will add they but i dont like when i have tons of info on game screen
Not sure if anyone else is commenting on it, but when I play the game I keep getting a popup telling me that the time on my device has been modified externally. I'm on a pc and my clock hasn't changed all day, and I only started playing this game today. So how is it noticing a change in my pc clock?
Hi darkoraclegirl, is the time on your computer synchronized automatically by a time server or it is been set manually? Most of the times the problem appears when the time on the computer is different from the official time of your timezone.
Finished the game in less then 12 hours but I was on and off it. Could just some more images but maybe that could be for another game if you make another like this one.
I am on Chrome and I just started the game. It tells me to press the + button five times. I try clicking on the one in the little box down at the bottom left of the screen and got nothing. So I tried pushing the button on my keyboard, still got nothing. I made the game bigger, still nothing. Not sure what is going on here but I think it might be broken for me.
Game unplayable thanks to being nothing but orange screen. And from the growing number of people talking about it, I am wondering if the dev cares about this problem.
Why is there an option menu with nothing in it?
Game starts, there's no sound so I think it's going to be silent, so I put something on for background noise. After the first click I hear music and sound that is loud, at least to me. So I go to the menu to lower the volume only to find the options menu completely empty.
A way to turn down the sounds would be nice and make the option panel actually do something. Because right now there's no point to it and no way to mute the game or lower the volume. At least not on Chrome. If I was on Mozilla I would be able to mute it at least, but not in chrome.
The idea is good. However I feel lost from the get go as there's no clear instruction on how to do anything. The only thing I am told to do at the start is to get to zero, but not how to go about doing anything.
You have a good base idea here, just need to fine tune somethings. Some simple walkthrough of how to go about doing things in the game and a different visual for the game are two things that I notice could be changed/added to improve things.
I don't know if anyone else found the auto click delay to be too long, but in the time it takes for one auto click I've already clicked over 100 gold and exp. So the auto clicker is only really useful if I take a break to rest my arm. Also the cost of the first gold upgrade is a little insane IMO. 5000 for the first gold upgrade? In the time it would take for me to click my way to that upgrade I would've beaten the game.
The game is nice, and the idea behind it is good. You just need to work on a couple things here and there to improve some minor things.
Hi Darkoraclegirl,
Hmm first gold upgrade has been scaled to be reacheable after few minutes, no challenge if cost would be 500 gold but I take it into account for more balanced game.
I don't get next point, beat the game while gather 5000 gold for first gold bonus? then there is a bug, going to 5000 gold just by clicking from scratch should give xp to level 41 approx, could you send me a screenshot if you did it again to check if all other cost are normal or not?
Honestly I was expected people to make some break instead of doing fury click on chest all the time ^^, that's why timer/level are scale like that, just to make the game longer :P
But you are right yeah! seems that auto-click is totally useless on this version, I will changed it, thanks for your feedback
Game's called Farm System, appears to be about Baseball... Why isn't this called Baseball System? I mean I came to this because I thought, oh a new type of farm idle game. But no, I get something I am no in any way interested in playing as an idle game.
In baseball, each organization has several teams associated with it where younger players can go to develop their skills before being promoted to the "real" team. These are often referred to as the farm system.
I realized some of the pitfalls with the title for people who aren't familiar with baseball, but I still thought that the title did a pretty good job of encapsulating what this game is about, so I stuck with it. I'm sorry that you were inconvenienced.
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS GOOD WILL IDLE GAME DEVS ON THIS SITE STOP WITH THE OVERLY LOUD MUSIC!? It's 5 AM right now, my family is asleep, but if I had been using speakers rather then headphones my mother would be murdering me right now for waking the damn house up, but instead I have a headache now and I think my ears are a little more damaged now! What is so wrong with a silent menu screen that let's you pick, right away if you want to play with sound or not, and if you do pick to play with sound then give a means to turn the sound down BEFORE you make the player do anything else. I am getting so sick of idle games basically going 'oh you're going to play me, let me scream in your ear with my music until the game allows you to turn me down or off'. My PC is set to a certain volume at all times and I don't mess with the PC volume. So it's clearly the game devs and their choice of loud music that are the problem.
Eh, sound is at normal volume, it's not set at full (in-game), on my last game I was lowering special sounds for Web versions :-}
In-game you can always turn off/on music/sounds, adjust their volume.
The whole scroll sideways thing is really annoying. Scrolling down is more normal for these kinds of games. Also, the boxes are way too big for the machines. If you scaled them down there wouldn't be as much need to scroll.
Hi darkoraclegirl. Thx for playind Idle Snowflake, that means a lot to me! :)
Could you explain, why scrolling up/down is better than left right? If I would scale the machines, the text would not fit or be super small.
Best, runvsgamedev!
What is it with Idle game makers and the deafening music that happens when you first load up the game? If I had been using speakers I would have been thrown out of my home for starting this game and I don't have the volume up that loud. For future games, don't put such loud music at the start. No one needs THAT in an idle game. I'll games are suppose to be the kind of games where you can relax while playing, not suffer a heart attack from the sudden loud music and worry you're about to get evicted.
I'm sorry about the volume! I've never had any trouble with it - but if this problem persists, maybe I'll add a volume meter where the user can set their own volume. (And I can make it default at halfway or something like that.) Thanks for your feedback!
Oh my god I am deaf now! What the hell were you thinking with that loud music upon loading? Please for the love of hearing turn it down and don't just expect people to do it themselves. Some people do use speakers and live in places where they can't make a lot of noise or else get kicked out, not to mention the damage done to headphone wearers. Please turn it down so that those loading up for the first time don't suffer for it.
Mining for fish and fishing for stones? I think there's been some confusion with those two tasks but other then that I'm enjoying this game so far. It's different from most other idle games and that makes it stand out.
You should gain idle exp 1 exp for 1000 copperps. pls check it.
