Oh forgot one other: on your Merit page, ive earned a number of them that went from ? to Finished. But i cant see what was required to earn them. It would be nice if the mouse over said what the requirements were for the final level/only level of that merit after you have earned it.
ok few other issues i havent seen described. What exactly are banners/how are they earned? i seem to get more while clicking but im not certain. is this like a % chance per click and per second?
Second issue: if reset doesnt allow you to rechoose runes, this is a problem imo. you may want to try different builds etc for optimum income. give us a choice please.
third issue: mana generation, my skill says it costs 2 mana per second, im making 3.5 mana per second but its still draining my mana...fast.
4th and possibly biggest issue: you have a HUGE memory leak somewhere. within an hour i had to reload the page as it was lagging, a game this low on initial resources, should NOT need to be reloaded that fast.
So issues i have with the game:
#1 placement bug - after dying more often than not it will not let me place any kind of tower/unit, dying again doesnt fix, must refresh page to place unit.
#2: i dont see how you can call this an idle game(or that it has idle aspects) when i have to constantly replace my unit(s) every few waves/new level. if units could stay, or gained tiers etc off play time/completed sets of skills or some such i could see saying this game has idle aspects. as is you MUST play it actively or go no where. which is not the point of an idle. However as this is a new game, and you seem to be active i will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume whatever idle features you have planned arnt implemented.
Hey, thanks for playing and commenting! #1: This is a bug that will be fixed shortly #2: Yeah, originally it was called Idle Defence, but I changed it as it was more of a management game but when I say "idle aspects" I mean in terms of prestige and infinite levels. I do plan on making offline progress too which would contribute to the idle aspect. Again thanks for commenting :)
Dev's need to learn that "idle" means "go do other stuff and advance" meaning IM NOT STAYING IN THE TAB 24/7. Kind of funny concept, shit execution. 1/5. guess im a "hater"
Just about everything is broken. Lets start:
buttons to buy coins per click upgrades cost nothing, and also do nothing
coins per second upgrades are unlimited and free(and actually add cps)
the "pusher" is insanely slow, and with the coin physics quickly becomes a lag fest with even 50 coins on the pusher.
reset doesnt work
im sure more is broken, but its such an annoyingly broken game as is that i see no reason to continue finding more broken shit.
A few weeks back a new game popped up in the free tab on steam i hadnt heard of called RPG MO. It sounded like it was a throwback to RuneScape and Ultima so i figured id give it a shot. I'm glad i did. so here are the pro's and con's.
Pro's:
Diverse group of skills to choose from.
No skill caps(soft cap at 120)
Marketplace
decent community
active moderators and devs
almost everything can be crafted/dropped
Con's:
The gameplay itself is basic(for most this is a con)
ditto graphics
bugs/unpolished gameplay
This game still needs a ton of work, somehow soft reset seems to ignore the reset as far as determining exp earned, which would be FINE if you were actually keeping your upgrades(or earning that experience back) It also means that ANY leftover experience you earn is completely useless as its not kept in any way, nor gives any extra benefit. Add to this that the UI is massively spaced so you have to do a ton of scrolling for just about everything, and the fact that meth/coke are just about completely useless to purchase(roughly they can if bought at ideal times make up to 10% of your income, but even then the efficiency of it is only an extra 7-8%(maximum, havent done the math but that should be about the high side of it). I could go on but i dont feel its necessary.
@dev-i get that you are still early in release, and that you are currently updating it frequently, but much of this should have/could have been figured out before you put your hard work up.
I dont know why people are having issue with the last 2 challenges just build this deck they easy(for all 8 challenges).
3 hive mind, 5 enkor bot, 5 pincer bot, 5 sniper bot, 5 ss sentry, 5 frailty. the frailty/sniper bots let you kill of creatures very fast, the enkor bots add you some health, the hive minds give all your units a permanent +1 boost per hive played. and the sentrys are your killer unit. i did all 8 challenges back to back with this deck didnt loose 1 time.
Normally im not one to complain in a game but i feel this game is good but not great due to several things.
1. The font is horrid specifically for the letter G it looks like a 0/6 in game and makes it very hard to tell your gold. As well item properties are very hard to read.
2. The ships do not list actual damage/shields/energy vs one another so its hard to objectively tell which is best for each mission.
3. Hit boxes-The hit boxes for your ship and enemy ships are horrible, i dodge attacks and get hit by them, im shooting through the center of ships and not hitting them at all.
4. dialog pop up boxes in game are extremely annoying AND for slow pc's like mine causes in game lag that makes it very hard to dodge incoming attacks.
weapons to purchase(in order):Arc Spread,4 homing,Big laser, rail gun, lightning,short shield, duck.
Tips-in levels with a single type of slow enemy that bunches together, wait for them all to spawn then kill en-mass with rail/laser for MASSIVE cash
In levels with multiple types of enemy's do not worry about getting cash, thats what the slow levels are for, just concentrate on living. Secondly most later levels and some early levels lighting/shortshiled are about all you will need, use up your lightning then use short shield during recharge
ANY BOSS(including last): sit in them and use up lighting, then finish with whatever, they will die almost instantly and even the last boss will have 7/8ths of its life gone.
Level 29 Lightning/rail gun/big laser hit the right side first, then go to the bottom/top and get rid of those, use lighting in corners as it will hit 4-5 turrents at once, rail gun also does mass damage to turrents and if you line up 2 in its site it will hit them both.
level 29 is easy(ish) get powerful weapons such as laser lock or homer missile. Big laser can be extremely helpful as it will hit multiple instillation, line up as many as possible use big laser, and then concentrate on each hurt instillation individually with missiles, keep using laser on the line as you go. i recommend going back and forth, destroy 3 of the right side instillation, then 3 of the bottom, finish off the right, then finish off the bottom. this will reduce the amount of angles the bullets are coming from and make it easier to dodge.
for the 1k trophy i do highly suggest not only staying in one place but the following:
grab a shield when you see one drop, the extra exp is a negative yes but the ability to take a hit is more important, if you get hit wait for another to drop then go get it. getting the bronze/silver/gold trophies in their entirety makes getting the 1k trophy a lot easier. though not required, i would suggest working on all other trophies and leaving the kill streak trophies till last.
this was pure genius just wow 5/5 my only complaint was that it was so short, still considering everything id play it again easily, and the story line was told in a very original and depressing way. just wow. look forward to a squeal!
not bad the 150k badge is HARD though harder than any hard badge ive run into so far(774 points at time of writing, so i have played a "few" games :)
also arseus i have no clue what that is a reference too care to inform?
