here is a trick
keep blocking and doing a weak kick because it has long reach and they wont get and if they do just do a hard kick and then your runing through the game

He is a bit too fast indeed, you don't need special gear to defeat him though. Just give him enough damage and use your aerial attacks to kick him out. Also don't forget that you can block his attacks with C and break his blocks with V!
