Thanks for the explanation, Tovrick. Can I suggest putting some sort of hint that master bonuses are calculated that way? I checked the wiki, and it's not in there. Thanks again
Tovrick, for my master skills, leftmost row for experience scrolls (Mentor/Discipline/Dedication), I have 6/6/8, 6/5/7, 5/4/6. Master levels 329/305/237. The total is 4400% vs 4200%. But a 307 gave me 180e42, a 317 gives me 202e42. The drop happened after I surpassed the last master. But even then, using just his under/over calcs, it should be 200%...out of 4000+%. Any idea?
Oh, they aren't all added together. After adding mentor, discipline and dedication from all of the masters together they are multiplied. So being in between masters gives the largest boost. Once you pass all masters and lose the discipline bonuses exp is going to drop a lot.
I have a collective 4200% in Dedication, and 4300% in Discipline. So why is my experience now half of what I had when I had one master with higher level?
Hard to tell if there is a problem without knowing your disciple's level and the levels of the masters plus each of their dedication and discipline levels.
What kind of sadistic game uses level codes anymore? Oh, wait, this was created 7 years ago. No wonder.
I had to copy and paste something else, now I don't have the code for Hastings. Anyone?
Please continue. Like others have said, you should take a look at the competition. I've played pretty much every popular idle game on Kong, haha. I play Sword Fight, and Midas' Gold Plus I played for the longest. Both of em have rebirth mechanics. Other text-based idle games I've dropped faster. The path is too linear, and the sense of progress does not happen.
Good luck!
I actually didnt really want to start yet another idle game, there is so many already. I think this will be more of a long slow-paced game, a bit like the pre-civilization serie but not turn based
It was a fun first, second and third play, but I don't have the aggressive OCD to really refine my score. The double health challenge was okay, although the enemy battles are largely uninspiring. Would be nice to be able to change the unit types, or attributes individually. Just something to spice up the replays.
The cannon battles take a long time. A battle that you win takes 20 rounds, and we have to wait for both cannons to shoot. It's pretty annoying, and since you can't tab away from the battle, you just have to wait there.
As sirpsikey's pointed out, it's a bit useless to have a front row fighter if the enemy can just attack any row, without any advantage or disadvantage to doing so.
It's a pretty game, but it feels like there is a rickety skeleton underneath. Hopefully these things can be polished up! 2/2
I enjoy this game, but there are a lot of conventions that this game is thwarting, and it's hard to tell if it's intentional or not.
The inventory system has a few flaws IMO. You can't scroll, you have to actually click and drag the scroll bar. And you can't just drop a new item to equip it, you have to unequip the old item. The sell can is all the way at pretty much the farthest point away from the inventory box. This leads to a lot of annoying click-and-dragging that shouldn't be necessary. 1/2
Would be nice if the Scrolls page also described the skills. For the master skills in particular, I have to click to the masters, then the master skills tab, then the skill itself, to read the description.
The last three traits on the Mage Fury tooltips all say "increase mage's health"
but have three different icons, only one of which is health. Please address!
Thanks for making that last tweak. I've found the "you lost the duel" message box to be really annoying, as well. I wish it would behave the same as any other fight, where there is no message box.
Another minor nitpick: on the "Duels" page, the top 8 average has Exp first, and gold second. Right below it, in Offline Earnings, gold is first, and exp is second. A bit annoying when you're trying to compare.
