@Lycium You do have a point, but it takes so long to use the Damage die enhancer potion that it's almost not worth it.
I've got 6% to make one with Alchemy at nearly 500 and Artistry at 1000. And honestly, Ruler's Edge. :)
Better than anything in the shop. Thanks for not being rude. Like some people are, and downvote my comments for no reason. I correct someone on the Prison dungeon not being harder, and my comment gets -2? Wat.
@Rubixsword I have the Ruler's Edge. It's better than all the blacksmithing weapons but the final one. :) However, no slots for gems. That's why the blacksmithing section is sometimes superior. Keep in mind though, you need 800 alchemy and 1000 artistry to even have a decent chance of crafting the damage dice potions. So, they're not the best thing in the entire game to just spam willynilly on your weapons.
Honestly, I think the damage increaser was a bad idea to add. Because it makes the game broken easy towards the end. IT should have been significantly nerfed.
@qlzqqlzuup The prison dungeon does indeed get very very hard. I don't know why you didn't notice how it goes to demons that have around 100 health, and can do 45 damage a magic shot to you.
Alchemist also increases very slowly.
@olinn A Main-Gauge has been a weapon in fantasy games for decades. :) Nothing to do with the real life one. Don't complain about video games.
@Xelestrial and @Patrick45 Please look up Probability theory before complaining about something that cannot be fixed at all. You both suffered from bad luck, extreme bad luck. Not a bug.
A 50% chance to hit can roll as a miss 4000 times in a row. :) It may not be likely, but it can still happen.
Also, the best way to avoid those issues is to stop attacking things with less than a 85% chance to hit.
@lycium No, the in store items are nowhere as good as the weapons in the Blacksmithing group. I have no idea how you can think that. The best store weapon is 3d10. The best blacksmithing weapon is 12d6 How can you think 3-30 damage is better than 12-72 ever? Also, you need a lot more than just artistry to make those potions. You'll need almost 800 Alchemy. Which will take a long time. Also, it takes forever to get a high chance to extract gems from items. Even at 1000 enchantment, it's not a 100% guarantee. So that advice is not good.
@hippariheikki You can already merge enchantments on items...Just socket two gems with the same effect they merge completely. And it reduces the chance to socket two of the same to balance it. You'll almost never get 3 or 4 of the same gem in a socketable item.
@ericrfabischek Thank you. And the reason you're doing lower damage at times, is because a 6d6 has a chance of rolling a 6. instead of a 36. :)
That and your enemies may have magic resist that's higher than enemies you fought before.
@mogstorm I've tested that bug before, it does not work for me at all. It's a really rare one.
@Gryphons Artistry is easily trained without the training potions. I'm not sure where you got that idea. Put one ingredient on the crafting grid after clicking experiment, and hit combine, it will fail, and you will gain artistry, 90% of the time for the first 70 or so tries. Hold shift and click on an item to make it take even less time. You'll get 500 artistry in like 10 minutes at most.
You need probably 1000 tailoring and 800 Artistry to make most of the super weapons. Please don't hate this game.
@hydakson Mana Burn did life damage since at least Revenant.
Burn reduces maximum health.
Poison reduces magic points. I don't know why that is, but it's an odd design choice.
@jfrosty You need Artistry, look over the last few pages of comments to find it.
If my comments are getting annoying, please anyone tell me, I don't want to get people mad.
@dries8 Sadly, that's just random chance. If everyone who played this game fought 100 battles, and swung 1000 times, the odds of someone like you experiencing that bad luck will happen. It really is just random chance.
Try to aim for 80% to 85% to actually be able to hit consistently, the game seems to roll the dice more in your favor then. Don't get disheartened.
@Dallenkkj That's not a bug. That's because your mage has a low magic attack skill. 80+ to hit won't do anything against a 5 star tactical map if your mage has a 5% base chance to hit.
Magic defense on your enemies gets really high by the end. You need to train your mage. Or replace him after going through the dungeon that gives recruits. The later recruits are very powerful.
@pacolaco Welcome to how the RNG works. :) Don't feel too bad.
Also, at 40%, you shouldn't be trying to hit anything. :)
80% is the bare minimum for decent success rate. Anything lower, and the game's dice rolls will almost never work for you.
@Umbriel There has only been 3 of these games, and this one took over a year to come out after the last one. Hardly common enough to compare to cellphones.
@DentalHygine You need a lot of Artistry to make the high end crafts. It's not a bad thing, nor is crafting bad at all. Just put one crafting item on the grid, and hit the craft button. You'll fail, which increases Artistry.
Try not to get angry over a game mechanic, when you could have just read the comments before yours.
@tamtarter Mana burn always drains life. Been that way since the first game in the series. Reduces your enemies health based on their mana total. Has no effect on enemies with no mana. Poison depletes mana.
@Gwenndalynne You need a furniture breaking tool from the shop. It looks like a sledgehammer. It's called a Vandal's hammer, and it says it removes furniture.
