Some more suggestions for this truly *excellent* game: 1. Have a popout for Auto Targeting with check boxes for types of targets. For example, I might only want to mine Quazor and nothing else, or I might want to farm pirates by only attacking recons. 2. Have a 'lazy follow' camera option, that slowly changes direction to follow the ship, instead of the camera only changing direction when directed. 3. Have an 'Asteroid Grind' function, that automatically mines asteroids, then returns to the highest earning station and sells the ore, then heads back out. If attacked, the ship should automatically dock at the nearest station for shelter.

Great game! One suggestion that I have is to have a 'trading journal' that keeps track of how much items are at different stations, so that, for example, if I don't have enough to get the Ultra-Mega Cargo Hold right now, I can look it up in the Journal to recall where it was available, and at what price(s). A 'go-there-now' button (>>) for each item location, that persists on the UI and can be clicked at any time to start you heading in the right direction (i.e. the appropriate warp gate), would be great, too.

Game of the week, for sure. One thing, though; for those of us who want to get 100% on all levels, could you *PLEASE* delay the enemies by at least one second when the level loads, and reset the mouse cursor to the bottom-middle of the screen? The very first enemies will often leak by because there simply isn't enough time to register their position, then get to them. Meanwhile, your group starts the round by heading towards the top-right...

Love the incremental, static steering! Could you please add an option for the same for the gas pedal, with another key to release it completely? (...and as awesome as the steering is, perhaps an option for regular press-key-for-full-lock steering? I made a script for GlovePIE called 'Wheel2WASD' that lets me use my steering wheel *perfectly* with any Flash game that uses digital steering/acceleration.

2a. Optional: the system does what it can to hold at that range; this would permit players with fast ships and long-range weapons to be snipers. (Meaning that they can stay outside of weapon range of other ships and pick them oiff at a distance.) The trade-off is that the upgrades necessary for increased speed and range wouldn't permit other upgrades. Also, it would be pointless to snipe with missiles (which have the longest range), as the opponent would have plenty of time to either shoot them down, or use ECM to defeat them, so the sniper would still have to deal with missiles himself. Hope this helps!

Pretty fun game. Two suggestions come immediately to mind: 1. '+' & '-' keys should zoom the view in and out. Clicking on the minimap is an easy way to get to a particular location, but not very accurate, and even with the low-level ships I'm using, the edge of my firing range is almost outside of the screen at the top/bottom. Being able to zoom out so I can see more would be *SO* handy. 2. 'F' to follow an object. (That is, move until it is just inside of the appropriate range.) For example, clicking on a carbon, then pressing 'F' would move me to pickup range. Clicking on an enemy ship, then pressing 'F' would bring me into firing range of my longest-ranged weapon. Each press of 'F' after that would bring me into range for my next longest-range weapon.

Here's a thought: when two artists are working on one canvas, make the lower level painter's stats the average between his base stats and the higher level painter's. This would emulate the more experienced artist giving pointers and advice while painting together.

You might want to run your code through a profiler; it shouldn't run as a slideshow on a system that is only 3 years old.

It depends on your setup. Since it's written using stage3d, if you lack hardware and drivers that don't support hardware acceleration in flash, you'll get terrible performance since the software fallback is terrible. Try hitting ~ to bring up the debug console, and if it says "Software Rendering" in the upper right, your system doesn't support hardware acceleration.

Suggestion: Respawn as far as possible from other players, give a couple of seconds of invulnerability, and/or let the player choose where and when they spawn.

Pretty good game, but having to click the mouse to start firing again after reloading *really* starts to hurt after a dozen rounds or so. The ability to toss (purchased) grenades/mines/etc., and upgrade weapons would be good additions.
