Wow, nice game, but either poorly written code or poorly implemented game mechanics makes this chug like crazy with any more than ~50 units on the screen. And this is with FF 3.6.15 and an AthlonII x3 @ 3.1Ghz.
I love it, but please cap the max units for each side (I realize this would need HUGE rebalancing for this, but it would help performance SOO much). When you're battling Martoo the Sinner, when he plays the card that randomly summons a skeleton warrior out of either players gates, battle sizes go quickly from ~25 each side to easily 200+ Otherwise, add a quality button.
I have also noticed slowdowns in the Browser and Deck screens, so I think it might just be a problem with Flash and how it handles moving objects. Plus, when there is a small grouping of a large number of units, light blue boxes show up whenever a unit attacks in that group.
Otherwise, it's an excellent game. Strategy factors in without a whole lot of luck, and the AI is smart enough to keep the game interesting. However, I don't think that people will get past level 16 or 17 without a lot of patience and luck on the opening hand.
Man. This game rocks so much.
I especially love that as the graphics get better for the game, the enemies get easier... sounds like you're trying to say something there...
Ridiculous. This game is pure chance, whether you can get the right runes or not. or whether you can destroy the next portal before the one behind you opens back up. Generally, when a portal is closed in a game, it stays closed.
