protip: you can pause the battle to take in situations and issue orders; especially useful for prioritizing targets, making the most time when deploying reinforcements, and yelling at that one rogue who decided to charge in all on his own to get back into formation before he dies
CMDREDDY, protip wasnt so helpful, so here's my protip: the executioner cant 1-hit your hero, so send the hero to intercept the executioner, and have support fire handy beforehand, he has tons of hp, just no armor or mag resist
protip: consider grouping you soldiers in the middle of the map, which will allow you to see enemies before they attack your forces, and plan accordingly. this is especially helpful against attacks from behind your lines, and bombers in the said attacks. not so helpful in stages where the enemy has arrow rain support fire (eg. stage 6), which leads to higher overall damage from enemy support fire, and possibly death of unarmored support units within your ranks
tip: you can give a guy ranger training (additional rifle, exp, morale, and a garand if he could switch weapons) unlimited times, so if you have a guy who has no idea how to open the rifle's bolt, train the **** out of him and problem solved
speaking of bullet hell games...heres a tip:
unlike in bullet heaven, your movements are not controlled by the mouse, so its a little harder to dodge large barrages of bullets. but the shield lowers your movement speed, allowing you to focus better and acts as insurance even if you do get hit.
of course, this is also viable with a gun, but it takes away your added protection and you also have to focus on your aim,
for all of you who ask for faster crafting speed with workstations, (myself included actually..) here's a thought: upgrading workstations give higher chance to make 2 items instead of one, and so does the toolbox, so they actually do increase you crafting 'speed', but not directly,
