Searching for the memories from a staggering list, that night we met, that stolen kiss,
my focused eyes gaze upon your your inviting lips,
i turned away, those thoughts i missed,
“why did you return to my life?” i asked,
with a snappy retort she replied
“you thought i was just a phase that passed?”
the idea and dream of being with her again brought back the flood of emotions, that anger… that pain.
