I used all skills and had my first boxer mostly trained, beating the champ with a few weeks to spare. The limit is fine. I actually figured it wouldn't be possible to beat the champ on the first play-through. Second and third playthroughs are overly easy. The third one, I didn't even fight anyone until I was maxed out in everything. I KO'd everyone except the heavyweight on the first fight. I would say something needs to be tweaked to make the later parts of the game more fun. I did enjoy myself and look forward to updates.
You use them to build things eventually. Until then they are just consumed for happiness. Your production capabilities go down as the kittens become less happy, and vice versa.
I am experiencing the same thing as Deanomyite. I was using Firefox and parts of the game were off the screen and unreachable. Swapping to IE, I got the table clipping. Like it was trying to figure out how to resize all the windows to fit, but was failing horribly.
My first goal for when I get home tonight is to tackle some of the browser compatibility issues. I didn't realize how bad it was on IE. For now, I'd recommend using Chrome if possible >< (I do most of my testing in chrome).
I disagree with Rip. It would be a different story if Cargo space was limited, but since it isn't, there really isn't a reason to sell a weapon unless it's completely inferior. At that point, the price you paid for it is insignificant.
Apple tree mechanic makes the game resource availability too sporadic. Money should come less from trees and more from fallen enemies. It doesn't feel like the clerics are doing anything, and the dropped health vials need to be more powerful if the cleric's heal is so low.
