Archers allow your warriors, who hit much harder than mages, to hit flying creatures. If you don't like to use mages much, or have a decked out warrior skill page, it's very useful to make your first 1-2 warriors archers.
It's really not that hard, just need decent timing, and to be patient from 40-50 (when the blade thing moves). Finished the first game at 29 left, and finished the next with 64.
Moorepheus, read the box that comes up when you hover over that easy map (It's actually "Easy?"). Says infection is the way to go, the enemies get incredible armor, so your damage goes way down. Use specialists with Infect.
