Seriously, though, I've avoided most of the grind with this process, but now I'm stuck at hunter level 10 with no one else to hire. Working on Lunar Blade (B). Any Suggestions?
So here's what I've learned. In life, you must hire people better than you, make them do your job, take their money and experience, and hire someone else... :P
Survival hard badge = health regeneration. I got all my characters 80-90 regen per turn by purchasing max soothing items (runed for weapons & rings) as well as using Ranger's "Nature's Balm." Also used warrior for "inspire" and conjuror for "wargolem" and "eldrich aegis."
I discovered that you can get whatever you want for the survival mode by returning to menu (in manage characters). Reload the save, and the shop refreshes. + if this helps!
Hard Badge (what worked for me when other posts didn't) = max loot, magnet, and speed (lvl 4&3 chests & lvl4&3 sails). You actually want the worst weapon possible, because it allows you to get way more treasure chests between bosses (exception: get bigger guns for bosses 2 & 3). After the thunder, I went all out with guns & loot and got 32,000 DESPITE dying to the thunder the second time! Hope this helps.
Hard Badge = Handstand from launch to landing while doing a backflip AND keeping rocket pointed straight up for as long as possible to give maximum height
I really found it helpful to work on composing accessories (rings, bracelets, belts, and necklaces). Putting a lot into weapons or armor is fun, but you have to get rid of them when you need the higher attack and defense a couple levels later.
Super fast way to learn defensive skills: while using the passive skill "Double AP" from evening star, go to southwood (for physical) or the tainted grotto (for magic) and attack your own team, leaving only the one needing the skill. Then just react until learned. It does take some grinding, but saves a ton of time in the long run. + to keep alive!
