Not a bad little game but as tower defense is nothing new it needs something to make it stand out, an interesting game mechanic or perhaps unique towers of some kind. The towers in this are all very similar asside from 2 or 3, and for the most part all that matters is, is it aa? or ground? and does it splash?
Lol removing the non-mana tap max mana pool wasn't such a great idea... Now a faster way to upgrade gems after lev 6-7 would be a GREAT upgrade. Making 13s and 14s is a total pain you can't possible spend all your mana late game.
As soon as you open swarm maps pay one with X3 xp. Make several traps with red/orange gems in them. It costs like 2 mana to reflect the swarm mobs so just pump them up with gems to keep them from dieing too quickly and farm mana like mad so you can get sick score. Make sure you keep them within a range you can kill though, you only need them to cycle through like 2 or 3 times as the banish cost increases each time. You can farm insane mana and score this way. After 1 or 2 maps like that you can use the same strat on endurance waves and get several hundred thousand xp in 1 map. It does take a long time though as you will have hundreds of mobs walking and traps shooting so your game will slow WAY down.
Not bad but the levels don't get harder, just longer versions of the same thing. It would be better if you got new store types/distractions and the game got harder as you went on.
The unit ai/control is too bad otherwise it would be good. As it is your units wont even always return fire when attacked. Also it's silly that if given an attack command and the targets move, your units ignore the current position of their target and will just drive past them and park where they were.
So.... cave 5 has a fast mob that kills anything in 1 hit, even castle, and he looks just like a normal weak mob so there is no way to know it's on the the way until it instantly kills your front line.
This would be a lot better if I didn't feel like it was released in beta.... Then again most games are released buggy as hell and patched later now anyway. 3/5.
