AWESOME GAME!!! But the difficulty is trivial to someone who's played Ikaruga. If you enjoyed cursing at these enemies look for that on the Gamecube. Or check out some YouTube videos.
I don't care about realism but artillery strikes should be shorter and more effective. They are really dumb now since you deny whatever area you bomb to yourself and aren't even that likely to kill any enemies.
Just about to beat this game for the third time. I spoke about how good it was earlier so I'll skip that part but I will say that playing engineer was easiest because of the interrupt he has in addition to the stun and conversely the psionic was hardest because he has no interrupt AND no de-buff (for removing healing over time effects). Finally, I'm not sure that this is ideal but I pretty much got into the habit of starting the battle with stun, DoT, slow and normal attacks thrown in between each of those if my stun was long enough. Unless I specifically needed the stun to prevent healing (like for the psionic) I repeated this pattern throughout the battle for some nice damage. Watch out for the one or two baddies (greater demons come to mind) that cast anti-stun spells first thing. Good luck and enjoy this finely crafted game.
Not the most complex or unique game but it is FUN. Nice job. Destroying the big orbs gave a nice sense of advancement in a game that is otherwise wide open - good design.
Very nice concept and good game. A few of the puzzles were kind of unfair. Like the circle with two smaller circles in it - I drew it perfectly and had no idea what it was. This and a few other objects are not distinctive enough for this game, I feel.
Wow. This game is... perfect. I never use that word lightly but it contains everything I love about games: a clear sense of progression and a good difficulty curve. The first few baddies of a level sometimes trample me but as I develop a better strategy the battles get easy. So even putting aside the training and artifacts I felt like I was really learning and growing. Bravo.
Too long and boring and easy. I'm not really complaining about the easy since DTD kicked my ass all over the place, but the other two make it a sub-par game.
A little too cluttered. The dimension warp thing was good and the dozen powers were good but not all together - not in a real-time game. Too many options cause me to not use them. Also, after continuing you should have all your powers filled - or at least the ones that were. The level you just lost doesn't really get easier when you try it again except without the weapons you saved up.
Not cool: my race and money saved and s did my racer level but when I start a race I have the beginner buggy and everyone else has proper rides. I'm gonna go delete the save files to reset the game but if someone doesn't know how to do that they're screwed.
Very good game - well balanced and complex. The stealth that the enemy uses is a little unfair - could be helped by more units tracking (attacking stealth automatically when they are revealed). On the other hand, the enemy often uses completely retarded and useless (in this game) retreat tactics that give me free shots at his team and allow me to absolutely crush him when the battle would have been even or slightly in my favor.
Now that I've played a bit more I realize that there is a form of insanity that causes arcane and taint to rise by +3 per turn but my opponent was afflicted with a different insanity at the time.
Seriously buggy and pretty unfair. You can say that many games depend on luck but this is particularly frustrating when my opponent keeps drawing large heal and large damage cards while all I get are utility cards which can slow my death but not let me win. Some cards are also unbalanced (particularly a bunch of useless cards +1 taint curse, shotgun). Finally, there are some serious bugs. I've had my opponent gain +3 arcane and +3 taint ever turn until he died.

The most important information is knowing where to start: "Start in Canada, Greenland, New Zealand, Cuba." These places become infective quickly and tend to shut down very late. I got my disgustingly high score from New Zealand.

Yes, really.
What a brilliant game. One of the exceptionally few games where I care about or even notice the music - it is amazing.
I take back my earlier comment and urge you, gentle player, to not take the easy way - HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY!!!!!111!!1 - but instead to pick Fighter and other left side options until you are a ghost sniper. You will be fast and do tons of damage so the game will actually be fun instead of lumbering along and killing everything in half and hour or so with the heavy tanks.
