Lovely atmosfear and music!! Cute npcs and good leads. Art is ok but is really the worst part. Gameplay is good with powerups and whatnot. Still somehow I lost interest after just a few falls. Could be the controls are bad.
When going back and forth between the menu item instructions and the main menu music is restarted BUT music playing isnt remove = LOTS of music layered on top of each other = PAAAIN!! Also, game is SLOOOW to the point of being unplayable. Car is unresponsive and unnatural. STAY IN SCHOOL. 0/5
Solid is very well described! Flawless, balanced and very consistent. A pleaseing experience. You have proven that you can make something that is technically really good, now - go wild!! :) 4/5
Great idea, battling to get action points! Needs a storyline and logic. Lagging on my system where similar games arent. Why do I need to pay for finding weapons? Oh, an find an artist! Sorry, not good enough. I´ll look out for future versions since I love Zombies! 1/5
Just completed for the second time. This time with a real mouse. Was lots more fun than the notebook mousepad.. This is close to my all time favorite game. Flash or not! The balance just seems perfect. I have to think about where and what I shoot in order to gather as much as possible. The dodging enemies is just as or even more important than having the biggest gun. The enemies are perfectly recognizable in their patterns. The art is perfectly integrated into the gameplay; some levels are really hard to move about in becase of the interfering background. If it would be at all possible to control the ship with something as precise as a mouse, it would possibly be even more fun. Kudoz once again for this game! Isn´t it about time for another 60 levels? :D
"avoid going off the left edge of the screen"... There´s your fail. 0/5. It begins so intelligently, but falls flat to its face after about 10 seconds when you loose control of the green bar. Every journey begins with the first step, but for some journeys that is also the last. The style, noise, feel etc. is great. Best of luck on future projects.
5/5! I agree with your own statements; The ultimate shooter indeed! wow!! EVERYTHING IS HERE! Atmosphere, design, powerups.. Replaying levels would be a good addition, unless it messes with the powerbalance. Perhaps just a replay/continue option. (I coincidentally just told someone to lookup PomPom Games, and here YOU are! Allready been there havent you :) - Peace. Looking forward to following your development!!
5/5 for a cool cool game. Complete with fake-Chrome metal letters. Sinoid attack patterns. Bosses. Space-theme. Cool 80s rock music.. This game is a great tribute. I hope you will continue to develop as a team, and bring more retro shooters into the world!
That said, and all biased unfairness aside, the game really lacks in the control department. The enemies are unmotivated and too alien, even for a space theme (dragon-worms? white noise blocks? and is that an asteroid field?) Power up system is undeveloped. The graphics and effects are poorly designed/created. The art direction is somewhere between realistic and abstract, you should settle for one. Level design is undeveloped/illogical (I can fly in space, but get blocked by a wall!? Some levels only have one enemy?) Dont get me wrong, I love your game, but I hope you will grow a bit more serious. I recommend you take a look at the space shooters from pompom games. They are spot on. Peace...
SAUSAGE FACTORY.. You should have spend the extra 5 minutes to make the water appear to flow more natural. In its current state its laughable at best, and a real turnoff at worst.
2/5. +1 for idea, +1 for puzzles, -1 for contents, -1 for sausage-water.. +2 for the beer.
