Duplete: In fact, there are items like say pearls which sell for less than 50...maybe closer to 20 when sold individually which them sell for a billion, trillion or more EACH when sold in bulk (you need lots and lots to get that price) such as you have seen on those long quests.
Later in the game, you will find quests that can go on as long as you desire because they do not finish unless you suicide....they involve killing "undefineds". That's the game I guess for both good and bad.
I am not entirely sure but people have posted in the past that sixth sense gives you a greater chance to get a monster drop. However, after a point it seems you always get monster drops ( and they seem to be equally distributed among the five possible types).
The only other thing it could pertain to that I can think of is the speed in completing certain quests....like find the mystical pancake etc....a sixth sense might presumably help there.
This is not cheating IMHO because it is just like having the unsave feature you spoke of. Also this option is open to all users using only the intended game interface. Also there is still luck involved....but the fact that some control over the game can be obtained is a good feature.
Duplete: In order to control which attributes your character levels best and in what ratio you can keep a saved copy on a separate tab and revert to it if your other copy doesn't work out. You can even repeat that with several copies. For example if you don't level mana enough to keep up with your fireball as a mage. There are a few other tricks that I have previously commented on that can help you get a high level character.
Mathyou probably didn't hack anything. Otherwise he would have given himself a level in the hundreds, thousands or hundred's of thousands. He/She has a rogue which doesn't buy spell books but ammo. By getting lots of gold from a very long quest the rogue can be made to suicide (place a heavy object on the spacebar) and simply buy armor, weapons, and ammo. This way quicken will get very big while the other stats will remain low.
This is called the method of SUICIDLE RPG.
It iis no longer possible. In earlier versions of the game you could level up very fast but the numbers became so big that eventually your character flamed out and encountered an irrepairable bug. That's is why you see that the high scores are never leveling up.
It is also possible to hack into the files that define your character and give yourself a high score that way....but that is just cheating....
When you get to the higher levels you will notice that the monster drops become increasingly more BIZARRE! After getting the prized Centrillion Dollar Bill on gets.....tada,,,, a Chocolate Bar. As they say "...that must be really GOOD CHOCOLATE"
In the sequel.
