The...VagInspector got it right.
Buy a sniper first. Don't upgrade it til you've got two of those zappy things.
Then just keep buying and upgrading only those two towers, and you'll be just fine for the first level.
Like some people are saying, there needs to be a complete mouse control option.
So the tank is moved when you move the mouse, then you can just click when you want to shoot.
Spelling errors, and there are a few glitches in the game. In some cases, you can buy items that are too high of a level for you, and sometimes you GAIN money for buying items???
I completed levels til I could get +3 random items.
Then I just kept on going to a level, checking my items, then restarting til I got a few of those double score things.
I'm sorry, I like mobs spawning over me as much as the next guy... which is to say, not at all.
The least you could do is have some sort of visual right before they spawn so we know to move out of the way.
Just played the game and I loved everything about it. I've said it about one of the other games, but screw that one, this deserves to be #1.
Love the music, love the art, love everything about it.
Favorited.
For me (and for many others, it seems) this is better than the winner, but I'm pretty sure the winner used the tutorial much more than this dude. I think that's what they based it on.

It was okay overall.
Eh... I probably won't play it over again as another class, just because it took so damn long.
I suppose I enjoyed it while I was playing it, though. Eh, kinda...
Yeah, those 70 levels sure weren't a giant waste of my time.
It lost it's novelty about 40 levels back.
It's a concept that has been executed better on a few other games.
It was certainly a way to pass the time, but I didn't enjoy it all that much -_-
The whole "Only use guns" thing I was trying worked pretty well up to level 50-something, then I maxed out the damage upgrade and it just kept getting more and more difficult. I finally had to add some towers. I'm doing fine now.
After seeing Contraposto's post, I tried it with no turrets, and only upgrading my pistol. Same thing. I'm on the 35 wave and nothing has come close to getting to the exit. In fact, the only creep that made it past the first platform was the first boss.
It's just so damn monotonous though, click, click, click, click, click, click, UPGRADE!, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, UPGRADE!, click, click, ext...
