Oolala, I like this sorta thing; a game with a meaning behind it. It's an interesting concept -- although not one currently in the public eye. // As a comment, it works perfectly, the whole 'arrr, this game is hard' thing, however you can't really sacrifice gameplay to make a statement. If everyone did that, there'd be no gaming industry because people would get sick of crappy things, and return to their crappy real life, if you get what I'm saying? // I'm going to have to cut my review short, because I'm busy and I only really played this because it caught my eye. That said, there's really not much more to touch upon. // Good concept, but the pull-off was less than spectacular. 3/5.
This is terribly repetitive, boring, dull and bland; the units are repetitive, the graphics are plain -- although, intentional, I'm guessing, it becomes boring after 3/4 levels -- and lacks the basic fundamental things that a flash game needs, such as a pause menu and information on how to play. // However, there is something addictive to it, I found myself playing this without an urge to stop, I could have happily completed the game (and probably would have, if it was not 1AM and I didn't need to be up in the morning). // Really, though, there are more things wrong than there are right with this game, which is why I'm going to give it a 2/5. It has potential, but it's nowhere near amazing, as it stands.
This game's pretty well developed; I like the story, and the gameplay is pretty well developed, too.
// That said, though, the last level -- although it makes sense when the backstory is explained -- is enough to put people off, you might want to have a think about that in future games.
// On a whole, this's intricate enough to be interesting, yet ends far too abruptly, it's almost as if you give someone the first and second course of a meal, with included aperitif, and refuse to hand out the desert.
// However, I really enjoyed this, and would recommend it on. 4/5.
Repetitively boring would be the best way to describe this game; although it shows promise throughout, it never varies gameplay enough for it to remain interesting.
The weapons aren't exactly balanced well, either: you can get 3 homing weapons, and be sorted for pretty much most of the game.
With those aside, though i like this. It's fun. It's exactly like an arcade shoot 'em up, which is what it's aimed to be. It's just a shame it wasn't interesting enough to play to the end. 3/5
