Great concept. Very fun game overall. The game freezing when the pointer goes outside the screen edge is a bit annoying and the triangles seem bullshitty. Like, because the shots travel so slowly but fire so frequently, it often feels like the Shape itself is untouchable... it's the bad kind of difficulty.
Very fun game for an afternoon, but seems to take a while to get through. A speed-up button would be nice. Keys should become Gold after all slots unlock. An endless level after beating the game would be nice for people who want to test out their awesome post-game deck.
The increased damage and increased attack speed don't seem to stack. Not sure if this is intended or not. But they should stack. Fun little time killer.
2/5:
The biggest issue, and one that underpins almost everything else is the fact that it takes forever to travel around. I've probably spent more time travelling around than everything else put together. The other thing is, there's no good reason players need to find a bike before travelling off again. I'm in no danger of dying. 2x waste of time. It's also grindy, and in a bad way. When done right, a grinding game puts you on a hamster wheel and you run until you drop. Not this one. The travelling plays a big part, but also the equally slow and meaningless combat system. No special moves (for way too long), no complicated mechanics and no consequences. It's not enjoyable. It's a chore. Your performance, quality-wise, doesn't matter. Unlike survival games where every hp matters or even most RPGs where being careless with your health WILL cost you, this game doesn't care - stand there for a bit and you're full health again.
The bandit with the big shield is *almost* impervious from hits from the front (like when you block dragon fire with your shield). You have to hit him from behind, or get your dragon to attack him from behind (tricky, but possible since the dragon follows you).
