Level 2 is making me want to choke a puppy... why can't I get this game? When I move too slow, I run out of time. When I move too fast, I keep missing kernels.
Hate this game with the fiery passion of a thousand suns. It's such a fun concept but the life-loss-rebuild-your-tank after you get hit plain sucks. Plus the bubbles that you fight in are too small - especially when there are multiple fast enemies all shooting at you and you need to move. In spite of these weaknesses, I can see that it's a quality game that's well put together. 4/5.
I agree with most of the comments about pace and such. I think another thing that would make it interesting is if there was some sort of bonus for keeping your planes on the correct path earlier, rather than at the last minute. So, incentive to move your planes to their proper paths early on.
I like the graphics, but the gameplay seems kinda clunky. For example, when a dialogue box pops up, you should just be able to click off of it to remove it instead of having to click on the "x" every time. And it would feel smoother if the inventory popped up when you mouse near the bottom or top.
The missile aiming is horrendous. It seems like they just go wherever they want to after you fire them. Seems like a pretty fun idea, but the utter inability to reliably aim the missiles makes it unplayable. Plus, the food should draw immediately to your ship instead of taking all year and a day. 2/5 because of the crippling aiming system.
Actually, once the flying guys deploy their wings, you can just throw them into the ground. If you just try to do it before they're flying, they just glide when you throw them. The jetpack guys you can just keep near the ground until their jetpacks stop working. Then they start running.
Fun game, but like a couple of people have said, you need to make more money in later levels. There's a point in the game when you stop being able to upgrade because you're constantly having to fix armor, but you're only bringing in $1,500-$2,000 per level. With the best upgrades costing over $4,000, it's not enough.
Upgrades seem to have little to no effect. Either that, or the effects are nullified by the disproportionate increase in difficulty of each subsequent level. Too hard.
The tesla gun (not the worthless tower) is ri-damn-diculous. WooooooooooooooooooPOW! Each charge one-shots like 15 monsters at a time (ogres, scorpions, platypus-dogs - all of them) with one round. I feel like the game is too easy after you find it, but too hard after the 5th round until you do find it - no middle ground. And by the time you find it, you have like 600 rounds of tesla ammo, which is more than enough for the rest of the game. Who cares if it knocks down your own barricade? You don't need one after you find this monster-mower gun. Hooray!
Too much of an old-school "3-strikes-and-you're-out" feel to it. But, I love the controls and I love the concept. Reminds me of Bionic Commando and Strider. If no life limit, then perfect. 3/5.
Nuts. Cool game, but I think it glitched on me. After I was supposed to get the magnets for the rollers, no magnets were available for the rest of the game.
I just realized that it must have been a glitch, because I tried again, and the progress bar only went up one way and the game was over. The first time, the progress bar started going down backwards after reaching the end, and the arms on the last boss kept multiplying until the screen was filled with them. Weird.
Apparently I'm the only loser on here that couldn't beat this "easy" game. WTF? About halfway down the progress bar, the whole screen was filled with arms that killed the shit out of me. I couldn't see what was going on. I ended up just spinning in a circle and firing randomly. Plus, the aiming is awful. You have to plummet headlong into every enemy you face to shoot at them.
