Hint - Always keep 1 guy level 30. To level mana scholars, keep them behind a river and use your level 30 to round up the bad guys and bring them to the other side of the river, when you get them there, press the hotkey to select another mana scholar and press shift to bring the 30 across the river to safety while your scholars burn them down.
