I find that level 4 is a really great way to rack up experience. In the earlier levels I would always work on them until I got brilliants and would place my skill points in the damage section. So when I did get to level 4, it was a breeze. A den and two temples at the top, and one den at the middle section on your first turn. Then a crypt on the lower tower which will be surrounded by temples. More dens near the first too. Sometimes you'll get enemies that'll straggle close to your gems, but you'll have easy meteor access from the earlier upgrades. Upgrade your temples to have the area-effect spells and your first den to have the critical-hits. Upgrade all your crypts to have the mana-drain effect (I found the other to be useless, really). And your excess dens should be given ballista upgrades. Hope this helps everyone!
Too bad the game is really easy, otherwise I'd rate higher. The animations flow nicely, and the hijinks are fun. But, no replay value and no challenge. Entertaining though!
This is actually a pretty easy medium badge. Just go nightmare on Big Boxy and use only shotgun or rockets. Remember, the rockets are fully auto at one point. If you run out of rocket ammo, use the shotgun to get you to some upgrades / ammo boxes. Really simple really. The badge tells you how to get it. lol
I didn't have any problem with the barrels exploding and harming myself on Boxy. Maybe I just didn't pay attention to it, or didn't get in the range of them.
It was a good game, but in the end if just became a grindfest to finish all the cities. After I got the eastern-hemisphere the game wasn't challenging anymore. It was still fun, but when I completed it, I got a, 'oh, okay' feeling. 4/5
Darvious: I didn't have that much of a problem with level four...Just stay out of the spider tanks' range and attack them first. Most of your vehicles can also one-hit them. Use your rocket and mortar tank's range to your advantage. Sorry you had to spend two hours on that..
I'm on level 10 after finishing all the rest on hard and Kong isn't checkmarking levels 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. I guess I can always submit a report after I beat level 10. 5/5 though, love this series.
Sorry, I just can't do it. I told myself I'd ignore how terrible the game is in order to get the badges. I'm level 28 and it is just soo boring. Most battles require skill points and the game gets just so predictable and linear. My 1/5 still stands.
Where do I find the leaders? I've taken over every town/city in the East Empire, but I don't have that checked off. Do I have to find a specific person?
The only caveat with this game is the lack of pause button. Sometimes I have to leave in the middle of a town/city battle and need to restart. Otherwise, great game!
The high rating on this game, plus the appearance of badges makes me cringe. Crappy Facebook games deserve no place on Kongregate's homepage! C'mon guys, what are you thinking..?
lazybum: it tell you in the help menus. But here: when you're in a battle the color over the unit-square-thing tells you how it will be deployed; Green - automatic, Red: you have to select the unit.
As easy as that.
Why does Kong call this a multiplayer RPG? Is it because of the versus system? That's hardly multiplayer. The energy system is handicapping everyone, although I doubt the developer doesn't mind us quitting and comming back later and adding to the playcount. Instead of having the energy system, why not lock the previous levels you've beaten? Asides from mob quests, no one's going to go back anyway. The game gets very repetitive and I'm just going to grind out for the badges and then wish I'd never played this game. 2/5 because there are badges.
