I wrote my first review of this game a long time ago. Now that there are badges, I tried to give it another shot. Got the first two badges and seriously tried to enjoy this game.
Couldn't enjoy it. Still the broken rotting yolk of the series.
1/5
Too bad this game has such a horrible downfall: the AI sucks. EXAMPLE: My gunslinger has FULL F****** FOCUS and has cast re-energize on herself TWICE IN A ROW and then got KILLED because she only had 40 health.
Game designer: You're a genius.
Game programer: You're a dumbass.
2/5 for the glaringly obvious 3rd grader who programmed it.
I feel bad for doing this, but I was a big fan of the original SCGMD series, and this one just doesn't live up to the addicting standard. I don't know if it's the constant overlap of notes, the occasional "bump and skip" in the songs, or the fact that all the songs are the gooey remnants of some underground band's emo blathering, but this game just simply can't be part of the series. I wonder if some guy tried to plagerize the game and came up with this creative assembly of fecal matter.
It's games like this that make me wonder why we can't give zero stars. Sure, it's probably to make sure that the developer doesn't get totally butt-hurt, but what about the fans? This was a promising series that has been seriously marred by rediculous spawn times for enemies, worthless guns that can't even kill enemies fast enough to stem the spawn (pistols and sub-machine guns worthless), and worst of all, no way to run through a mob of angry syndicate agents just to collect more ammo for whatever pathetic weapon you happen to be relying on.
This is alot like the Heroes of Might and Magic series: the developer decided to try to milk the dry, flaking teat of the dead cash-cow one last time, without testing their cow first.
I'm giving them the benefit of a doubt with the claim of "lack of testing", because there is no one stupid enough to test that game and think it's mechanics and playability are good enough for a published release.
In a word: Depressing. 0/5
A fantastic idea, but it just doesn't come together into something fun. Too much running around and backtracking, not to mention most everything looks the same. Would love to see a sequel though, that had a bit more engaging gameplay
Fantastic series, although admittedly a bit easy. A great message and lesson for those who played through the first and second, but it looked like the message got a little lost in this one.
Well, I'm off to make a dadist poem
