Disabling ranking on those would cut my land (which already has enough trouble keeping within 1/100 of use) by at least a factor of a hundred. Progress will completely halt.
Lots of tuning things are going to happen as we cross the threshold toward beta. Ranking was never intended to allow someone to circumnavigate real-in-game boundaries, like the per-planet limits. It was only intended to help you get around artificial limits like the maximum 64-bit integer. There will be other ways to make progress.
Now that I can afford Dyson Spheres I don't even want them because I'm getting hundreds of billions of land from my huge stacks of ranked up lesser structures and but maybe 70 million from them.
I have so many Intergalactic Consortiums and Local Group Trade Alliances that they rolled back to 6 digits but still take forever to buy 2^32 at a time.
could you remove the weird inconsistency where I'm buying 9999999999999999999999999 buildings for 20udc money? The giant numbers are both hard see and hard to work with.
Yeah. It wasn't a problem when I only supported 4000000000 buildings. 1000000000000000000 is kind of annoying. I'll get to that but, we really should have a "how numbers are displayed" feature request on the wiki because numerous people want it done in different ways and I want to be able to rationalize as many of the schemes as I can.
Also, sometimes my demolish buttons don't work. I have 2712904118 museum complexes from a failed identity project and it won't let me demolish down to 368980950 (the prereqs for 73796190 empathy broadcast systems)
Systems are worth more land but culture decay is such that I need vast amounts of everything to include more systems. I'll probably wind up spending a hundred million land to get 1.x million from the next system.
Max purchase only lets you buy 2^32 at a time and I need more.
Land gain is basically stagnant at ~30T truth while land use continues to spiral out of control.
When's the last time you reset? I made systems way, way more powerful. Maybe you're not getting much land because the systems were all discovered in the old ranking system? Anyway, balancing is the next big thing... true balancing.
Balance is a trainwreck. Clicking to get fame brings the game to its knees. Nothing above brigade actually produces enough to be worth making other than to feed newspapers. not feeling it.
Also, hardly any of the nodes even matter because the only ones that even affect my progress are the ones that speed up the quest timer. XP hasn't mattered at all in ages because none of the quest past level 50 are worth doing and waiting out quests is the only way to get LP.
If you're gonna have a big dumb sphere grid knockoff could you at least let me see where I'm going so I can actually make decisions instead of blindly running off and hoping things work?
