Beautiful graphics and music, good sound effects and really pretty upgrades in weapons and enemies... but a very repetetive gameplay. Seriously, those shooters have been done to death a thousand times over, and besides a very, VERY neat presentation this one doesn't offer anything new. Also, there's little rewards for a flawless finish, might as well not bother at all.
I'm in the 2nd ship, but didn't play very far in it after defeating the kraken once... so now you want me to go through the grind AGAIN if I want the badges? Can't the game check "if 2nd ship -> kraken defeated at least once"? No, no more grind for me, I'll pass on that badge for now.
Yay another pay-to-win moneygrubber featured on the front page, WAY TO GO, KONGREGATE! Time this game got some badges and stuff so you can make even more money off virtually nothing new, little content and horrible to no customer support! Weeeee!
If I HAVE to pick the last defeated hero for own to have any chance whatsoever at the next battle, what's the point of allowing us to choose? There is no choice. Pick the hero you last defeated, always, or get horribly gang raped.
Just another money grubber with very little content, repetetive at that; but a lot of effort went into getting you to waste your cash. Want a free game? This isn't it. 1/5.
Flash game companies are getting ridiculously greedy now... 600 kreds for some crap in a flash game? Really? These free-to-play multiplayer flash games are the worst kind of money grubbers out there. Not a cent from me, 1/5.
Ah finally another game that lets me play against people wasting thousands of dollars a month on a flash game! 1/5, just another money grubber, just another company making shitloads of cash for little content.
Playing the game for an hour or so, clicking away the texts everytime, read it once: "your son Manuel is dead, you're crazy, this hotel is just a fantasy and us relatives are playing along so you don't go total bonkers" .... what?
Oh yeah, spoiler! :D
1.) your teammates are always idiots, they manage maybe 1/10 100% shots all alone infront of the goalie and when receiving a pass they stand idly for far too long. 2.) intercepting passes is annoying 50/50 luck, chose to run to the wrong side or simply ridiculously fast other team + wind -> too bad, no chance of catching the ball 3.) goalies have either superhuman reflexes and snatch impossible shots, or are all out retarded and get confused by a simple bounce. 4.) the energy and money system is ... really bad. A months pay for 2 energy drinks so I can train 2 times and buy 2 flowers? SUV, 4 houses and assorted other crap so I can get 2$ more per match? ... bah 5.) the tiny window may be work great for smartphones, but it's annoying to play something and use only like 1/10th of your screen 6.) omitted 7.) despite all this it's still a great game that I can't stop playing, 5/5
Too damn dependant on luck. "here, fight 2 enemies with orange weakness, and here, have those red blocks! LOL!" ... no, sorry. Ig you get dealt such a grid you might as well reload the game, faster and more productive than to spent 5 minutes grinding through their armor with unsuited blocks.
"@disco flint, this game doesnt require anyone to "pay to play"... you can get better stuff if you pay... but you dont have to..." Please read what I wrote again. I specifically said "If you want to compete". Because that's what it boils down to. Sooner or later you'll have to decide: play it leisurely, then you can stay f2p without much hassle. But if you're taking it the slightest bit seriously, then the urge to "pay to win" will rise. And why anyone would pay for a flash game with cheap graphics, little gameplay, horrid lag and an unsecure future is beyond me, but whatever floats your boats.
BOOORING. Yet another so called MMO that's really only a boring grinder, designed specifically to siphon money off people. I wish Kong would add the tag "item shop" or "pay to play" or something for these games so I can see at first glance whether you need to pay if you want to compete or not.
How is this a game? A role-playing-game even? I don't play any role, there's no story, there's no challenge, no equipment, no interaction whatsoever besides "distribute stat-points" and "choose sword over armor". It's boring.
The illustrations, the colors, the music... it all blended together very well. I truly enjoyed playing this, just to see some more backround animations and some more lovely characters.
It's damn near impossible to really control your units. "Target the grenadiers. No, don't run around aimlessly! The grenadiers, ffs where are the reinforcements... why are you nowhere near the route to the waypoint? No, target the grenadiers!" And restart the mission. That's neither fun nor challenging.
Game wouldn't load past the server selection as long as I had facebook.net blocked with "NoScript". I don't even have an account there. The question is: why does this game need a connection to facebook? Are you selling the computer data and browsing habits of your playerbase to the internets? I wont play as long as the game requires me to share MY information with godknowswho. Without asking for consent or at least a tiny message to let me know.
Needs a fast forward button. when you start a level you wait for 5-10 waves for the real action to start, doing about 1 mouseclick per minute. Those first waves are extremely boring. Otherwise this is extremely well made though, nice graphics, good sound effects and dubs, interesting enemies, towers and special skills. My favourite defense game.
Thank you Disco Flint.
