@Rajei I did find a use for it. At Exchangers 8, Alloys 14, and Active Exchangers 1! The Wondrous Heat Inlet almost exactly balances the reactor heat loss. http://imgur.com/ZGEmUK0
Retract previous. He's right, I missed that plating provides the 1% boost for exchangers. So, exchangers base are 4x the vent rate. Just where I need them :|
@Kohlenstoff, For that, the exchanger upgrade would be close to 100x the cost of the vent upgrade. My current stat where I posted that: Heat vent 8, Exchanger 8, Active Venting 8. Costs are 25Qa, 60Qa, 100Qa respectively. And vents are 2x the exchanger rate. So, while I could dump 100x more into exchangers, for equal money vents are 2x better.
The vent #s are back to normal. Can the exchangers/pumps be made useful? Currently exchangers/pumps do half the heat of a vent. To be useful, I think they would need to be twice as effective as vents.
New build's broke. It says heat vents scale with capacitors and they do, but not as much as the #s say. Either that or the heat output for cells is wrong. 1 Ultimate vent + 3 capacitors = 2.074B/tick and exactly balances 1 dolorium cell at 226.966M.
I will agree with top commentators, somehow the game feels "slower" then I remember. Like it's played at 66% original speed. But it's been years, and who knows, this might be how N+ was "supposed to be" and it just played fast on my 2.0ghz comp way back when.
To the naysayers, had no trouble at all with the auto-switching. Just look at the crosshair and it'll tell you which gun it'll switch to. The only key you need is "1" to switch to melee to get the bugs off your face. Otherwise, most likely you really ought to be shooting the far off ones and get rid of the face-bug later.
This was (ironically) the *easiest* dribbles game for me. Only level 22 needed the walkthrough to find out that bounce makes dribbles almost immune to fall damage!
