My biggest suggestion is hotkeys. Its honestly a pain in the ass with the active timer having to click back and forth between spells and knights. There have been several times when I've had knights die simply because I couldn't click on them to heal before the enemy could take their turn. Also listing the type each enemy had without wasting time moving the mouse over them would help too. Otherwise not a bad start.
Can honestly say that this is the first game in a LONG time that I haven't wanted to end or put down. This from someone with ADD mind you. This game is equal parts nostalgia and craftsmanship. This is what a video game is meant to be. Not graphics, celebrity cameos, or a loose story to justify multiplayer. Your dedication and heart show well in this and I look forward to future projects. :)
Rather disappointed that this game is getting promoted by Kong. Everyone is complaining about it being a KR ripoff. And I sure as hell aren't going disagree. but as a typical pay to play/Facebook style game... its average. However, my issue is the obvious rigging within the coding of the game. The percentage of winning a good item on ANY of the chance games is non-existent. There is NO randomization in ANY of the changes games. Using the tavern game as an example no matter where I click I ALWAYS get the same cards. If the tavern game is coded as it should be I statistically have equal chance of picking a rare item as I would any other... but every time its ALWAYS the archer followed by a low tier item. I find that extremely unlikely. With the MASSIVE statistical anomalies this game SHOULD NOT BE PROMOTED on Kong let alone even be hosted.
This is obviously made with a tablet in mind... however even with that, this game is poorly designed. I have played A LOT of similar games with FAR better mechanics than this. The physics are shit. The puzzle design is shit. and worst part is the actual game play is shit. The point of puzzle games is to make you THINK not how accurate you are. If I wanted accuracy to be a factor I'd play an FPS.
Always enjoyed games by these guys. Love the idea, however the execution needs a bit of work. On my first big mission (rebuild the tower) The second the tower started to get swarmed all the zombies headed into the tower and out of visual sight. After trying to take out whatever zombies made it into the tower I was massacred partially due to being unable to see where I was swinging. Also being able to move while attacking would be nice. I could just be messing up the controls on that one but having to hold the mouse button to attack and locking the character in one spot. Just my two cents.
AGAIN STOP DEFAULTING AWAY FROM CUSTOM DECKS FOR YOUR BULLSHIT PRE-SETUPS EVERY TIME I CHANGE A CARD IN MY DECK. THIS IS ANNOYING, TEDIOUS AND TOTALLY POINTLESS.
The game shouldn't automatically switch from my custom deck to the "auto attack" deck every time I open the deck editor. If I wanted to switch it I would. Having to change the setting EVERY TIME is annoying, pointless, and frankly BS. If I happen to get caught up in the game and forget after going to the deck editor I end up wasting energy because I end up with a bunch of cards that don't mesh.
Also any boost you get from the rings is instantly nulled the second you hit the inevitable bird at the end regardless of how many boost rings you passed through.
An auto pause when you navigate off the screen. TOO many times I accidently mouse off the screen and end up with my monkey sitting like an idiot in one place. Also WAY to many birds early on.
There is a bug where if you are fighting on auto and your facing more than one opponent if one of the opponents goes down, part way into the fight the system will attack the opponent that has already been defeated instead of the two active opponents.
Am I missing something or is it suppose to take like an hour for each attack to actually happen? Is it my connection or what???? Great game so far .... even though I'm only on battle two and I've only been playing for almost two hour's now.....
Ok so as soon as I arrive in the next section of town I'm automatically ambushed right at the start and my companion instantly dies because I can't help em up? As posted before that this is a MAJOR bug that should have at least been addressed by this point.
Ok one major bug with this game. When a pet dies you have to get its blood and resurrect it. The problem however is if the blood drops right at the entrance/exit of the board you can't pick it up because you will automatically go to the next board and if you go back the blood is gone. I just lost a level 20 thunder snake because I was ambushed by a gilamonster at the hyperion gate. The second I got onto the board I was instantly attacked and it killed my already weak pet. The fact you can even be ambushed at the very start of a board is a bit cheap but the fact that any pet you have will automatically vanish if for whatever reason you can't get to the blood is frankly ridiculous. Honestly I would avoid all that nonsense and just have it sent back to the stable and have to pay to resurrect it there instead of having to go though all the annoying trouble of trying to retrieve the blood.
