Something might be wrong with how Discontent appears, last time I only need 1000 on any of the workers i can hire. Then on next playthru, even with over 10k-20k the discontent won't appear even though I didn't give them happiness yet.
The unlimited gem thing kinda already ruins it, not much reason to play past the "prestige and abuse till you're bored" part, which is first 5 minutes of the game.
RNG is either really bad or the game design to be way too hard to understand how you win. I just had a back to back moment in a few minutes where the first event killed 84% of my forest, then figure well i can rebuild that eventually, only to find the same event came back and destroyed 50%. That kinda evil.
It can be pretty easy to make this mistake but can teleport to shop not be possible to activate while there? If you use it again, it makes a portal that only goes back to... you guess it, the shop. This can cause you to have to travel a LONG way back if you do this while far in the game to return to where you was.
Archer takes a bit of effort to do but once you have the hero bow, ring of arrows active, you can safely destroy mobs with ease, once you have the heroic amulet, it becomes even easier, to the point that its a cakewalk, I absolutely destroyed it by that point, impossible to die.
From what I seen, the warrior needs more of a lift, they just not that great. Archers still very good even if you use a full team of them, mages as well just simply cause the stealth and dodge skills are just so good. Warrior chars have nothing of the sort, yes they can invest in defense but it just not that impressive simply cause later on status effects are just so powerful against them. They suppose to be front liners, but easily destroyed by stuns, knockdowns (thankfully that still solved by dodge skill but that a LOT of points), slow, etc that just wrecks their ability to fight. If you put two warriors that the only ones that can do anything for example against a stone giant while having someone only do heals to support them, the battle will last ages cause the warriors are just absolutely useless against it in a wide variety of warrior builds.
Too little to do, someone could start the game, get a good start for 10 mins then come back every few hours of offline and that pretty much the game beside paying for skips.
I been using a all mage group to do any run thru the game that I haven't done a god for yet since its easiest to win a game with them, as it takes little to no thought what to build up for them. Arcane being usually stronger than Divine mages.
I don't believe the arena wins involving the death knight duel does anything? I looked to see but there no pop up and I don't see a increase of anything noticeable
I feel like the game could benefit from having a sandbox mode, that don't contribute to the rankings of the game but as something fun/extra to do. Like the ability to use units you cannot normally use, or to set specific conditions that makes it more interesting or harder. Overall I did enjoy the game, would be nice to see unlockables even if they can't be used for ranking purposes.
I feel like the problem with why spirit feels so low in gains is there nothing to increase the amount received like you can with fortune and reputation. This makes any spirit diminishing return hit harder than it normally would as the other two you have counters for it. Not to mention its only a 10% chance the enemy encounter even has a spirit gain, so RNG can cause you to gain less than intended if unlucky.
I've updated the diminishing returns on Spirit to be less severe early on (before about 1000 Spirit), and I've also significantly increased the rate at which soul drops scale with level, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem as long as you push a little further each time. Thanks for the feedback!
Sometimes the RNG on determining the stats of the enemy can be a little senseless. I had a 9/10 round where a enemy was practically a boss, taking a minute to win, the 10/10 round? It only had 100 HP, which idk how lucky that was but that can happen.
Anyway to not have auto-upgrade invest to intensity? that a clicker based upgrade and if I have auto-upgrade on, I'm intending to idle, which makes that upgrade useless and its eating gold that could've gone elsewhere.
Even if you're not actively clicking, the bonus from Intensity still applies as long as you focused before idling, so it's usually still good to keep it upgraded.
sorry on double posting, (forgot to mention i did a new run when EXP change happened) and so far it just isn't very fun, I went to get really good gear and usually that greatly helps, but now even with a T9, i have to avoid legendaries in floor 12-13 very often when I didn't have to last ascension run. My stat/mastery gain is now just far too low
Usually i be getting 10k+ stat points easily by floor 12 but I can't even reach that and only at level 1039. I gonna keep trying the update but so far I experiencing a great downgrade from what I have and I had several ascensions on the way to floor 15 on this run. Still at the moment prefer how the experience was before this update. I barely jump levels and get enough stats/mastery to matter.
Another bug that needs a quick fixing in case someone can one shot the creature for ascension. If you say not yet, usually your progress get reset a few minutes before you defeated it, losing some EXP you gained, not sure on items. I feel the game should save right before you make your choice so nothing is lost.
Eventually you reach a point that gaining huge stacks of level ups (usually in the hundreds) can cause the game to freeze for mere moment or for a second (in my case, killing a legendary fire guardian at floor 13 generated 500+ levels). Also it seem like by now it would make sense to have a 10000 point shortcut to spend the stat points faster if the game expands anymore past these floors.
@Velexius My crit says 11% +19, which means that I have a x20 crit damage happening every hit, with the +11% meaning that I could score a x21 crit damage hit on each attack. Once you reach 100% on that critical, you always score that critical, from there, you just adding more critical hits you can possibly do. Not sure if I explained that well but hope it helps you understand.
I have never tried this... but you're right, I'll add a mechanism to ban it
