This is clearly a 1/5 game. It's only saving grace is parody. So how good is the parody? Not so good: 2/5.

This is actually a puzzle game disguised as an RPG. You have to puzzle out the weakness of most bosses.

This is a pretty good strategy game. Between battles, select your units and click the "+". This lets you level up your units and get new abilities and spells to use. Also, if someone is entrenched, soften them up with archers first until you get rid of their trenches. Also, try to attack from the side, not from the front. People who are good at the Total War computer games should like this one.

Codex is my favorite game on Kongregate. I was sad when it was over. Now I need be sad no longer!

This is brilliant...there's something really rewarding about watching a really complicated machine you've created working.

I love games like this. (Hint: you can put a function in another function.)

what were you thinking with challenge 15?...seriously, if I stacked all my own cards I think I would only win 1 in 100 times. And since I can't the odds are seriously worse.

Not a great game, but then again it only took five minutes to get both challenges, so no time wasted.

What I like about this game: there's always something to do...unlike most defense games where you wait, bored, for minutes at a time. If you're not building structures or combining gems, you can be making cheaps gems to throw at your enemies. (If you're having trouble with a boss, throw lots of gems at them. Hit Ctrl while building the weakest type of gem.) What I don't like: Difficulty curve is off. Game gets easier the more you play because you get a lot of skills. Could be more variety in baddies...immunities to crystal types could be interesting. Overall: I like it enough to keep playing.

Play with a pen tablet!

This is a great game, and not too difficult. Just make sure you look ahead at the weaknesses of all enemies coming up in the next five rounds and build defenses accordingly. For beginners, I recommend specialized archerers, which you can unlock pretty early in the skills section. They help take out flying units that your knights can't hit. Also, in a long match, build specialized mages in critical spots to slow and poison units. Everyone else should be general to do the most damage. The most important specialization is energy mages, as they can make units more vulnerable to other types of attacks.
