I have completed levels 5-7 in the space zone twice and both times my progress has not been saved. Every time I come back I have to start over at level 5 in space.
First and foremost, this game is great. However, for someone like myself who likes to build things symmetrically, this game causes so much frustration. It is often extremely difficult to get units lined up and positioned in an orderly manner. I don't know if there is the base is lopsided or what, but no matter what I do, I can't seem to get things placed around it evenly.
The game itself seems interesting from what I can tell, but the problem is that the time management was very poorly implemented. Honestly, it is a bit hard to rate this game simply because I have been able to play so little of it because of the massive cool downs. Having a energy regeneration rate of 1 per minute is fine, however having players start with a maximum capacity of 10 energy makes progress feel alarmingly slow.
@aofjard: If you don't like match-3 type games then don't play them. I don't understand why you would bash the game when you are clearly bias against the genre itself. Also If match-3 games are so "tired and overdone," then I'm pretty sure this game wouldn't be as popular as it is.
Turn your graphics down. The game already runs at a speed with each attack taking less than 1-2 seconds.
