Hi. Midring requires you to use all the knowledge you've gained throughout the game, it's quite tricky in its combinations of herbs and paths etc. But your autosave should be just a little bit back from where you are, because the games saves every time you collect an opening crystal or a token, so if you reload, you'll only have to redo a little bit.
if your progress gets erased, and you are on mac, find the file named PixeloOptionSave.sol. There should be another file in the same folder that has the same name but the extension .sxx. Delete the .sol file and change the extension of the .sxx file to .sol.
