I'm saying this right here, that in beta, it used to be impossible to earn gems. From then on, getting 1 gem per rank was level. Now it's 2/2/2/2/5; you realise how hard Spryfox is trying to make it easier to play as a F2P player? If he makes it too easy, he gets a ton of freeloaders. If he makes it too hard, no playerbase. And right now they need $$$.
I love this, because this is the first typing game that I sometimes die on because I can't keep up with the speed of the words. (I type 116 WPM.) So this is a challenge and it's fun to play, with cute graphics. The enemies aren't so fast that the text blurs so it makes artifical difficulty. Kudos, 5/5, fav.
Badging this game is messed up. Not only is the fact that the difficulty based on how well you type (and there is like, no fast way to improve your typing skills other than a ton of typing), the hard badge takes forever to get and is VERY EASY to do (at least for me, I can type 116 WPM).
You guys really overestimate the gem requirement...you act as if it's a huge grind. As a friend once said, "It takes 24 hours for me to hit Rank 50. I treat it as if it's not a grind." While it can be hard for free players, 1) $$$ required. 2) Not enough playerbase in the first place for $$$.
Flagged for being stolen. This account is a level 1 with pretty much nothing done. I mean come on, it was registered today. Age Of War 2 has also been out so long, it's got almost non-existent chance of being uploaded here by the original developer.
I love the game, but after a while, mid-late game and replays get repetitive and boring. I've now done both the Fountain Of Youth and the Kraken one. If there was some actual combat strategy, but no, it's just get all the cannons and spam spam spam. Fountain Of Youth you mentioned was challenging, but it's just levelling to Artemis' Wrath as fast as possible, then getting up 2k or so and hiring up a crew of 100 + weapons and sacking the port, then a simple spam of all weapons and you'll win with about 200 HP left against the Celestial Horror. I would love an option to continue playing so you can find the other endings, because when you've beaten the whole game and you could have chosen either ending, a second grind is tedious, nevertheless, 3.5/5. Looking forward to a sequel.
