A nice concept and can be very fun, needs some tweaking on controls though as well as strike zones. A bit of added story or options would also be nice.
Loved it when it first came out and still do now. The visuals are simple but still display a ruined world, the sound track is hauntingly beautiful and the game play is challenging without being over the top difficult. I enjoyed how the makers added new power-up's without restarting you from the beginning. And the additional character added a new level of exploration. I seriously can't wait for the sequel to come out, hoping it soon!
About the only thing I'd like changed is a slight increase to currency to make placing and upgrading units a bit more manageable. As it is I generally just place tamers (the cheapest units) and then wait and place the wolf dogs all over the map.
After being owned by an overpowered enemy twice in a row, and no way to really grind levels to take care of him, I really lost interest, it was looking very promising too. =/
It's okay, but the mircro-managing drags it down some. A little less focus on doing everything for the soldiers and adding in some more upgrades would definitely put this game on top.
The driving feels smooth, but the gun shop feels half finished and there is no story to speak of. It's got lots of potential, but there's still a lot of work that needs to be done on this game.
Short, fun and a fair amount of difficulty. While the music bugged me now and then it was still very good and the controls were done well enough I was able to handle most obstacles without dying too many times. All in all it's a pretty good game, I wouldn't mind seeing a slightly longer sequel in the future, as it is you could add a time trial to this game and see who can complete it the fastest.
I've suffered two glitches in the game. In one, I reached the gate with a switch and spikes below it. I dropped to the ground just in front of the gate and couldn't get up. The second was while trying to get past a bug, it turned and jumped as I was running and it somehow jumped past me and I was stuck in place, running without being able to control the character any more. In both cases I've had to refresh the page and restart the game. These need to be fixed. Otherwise the game has an interesting art style, nice music and plays okay.
I do enjoy seeing a game heavily inspired by monster rancher, and it looks well done. One thing though, when putting certain monsters in the negative with my attack, it actually doesn't make the enemy faint, but both creatures keep standing there and I can't attack again until it's health has gone into the positive again. This is something that can prove a bit annoying.
I would love a longer game, with an enlarged inventory so I don't have to throw out items all the time. Otherwise I think this is a near perfect game. 5/5
I enjoyed it for a while, but the constant waves of enemies made it nearly impossible to push forward at points, and with no sign of ever letting up, it felt pointless to even try, locked in a stalemate that would only end with me getting annoyed until I break something. It would be a lot better if you set a limit to certain mobs before another spawned.
It's a fairly good game, I like the art and feel of it. I would have preferred though that the normal walk that you do during most of the game wasn't as halting, he would often stop for a second after taking two steps which seemed unnatural. Another thing I would have liked would be to have some thoughts involved to add story to the game. They could be written from the point of view of the character that the player plays, either wondering or explaining how he got out in the middle of no where, why he had an empty shot gun nearby, what his thoughts are on much of what is going on around him and what he sees. Just some thoughts.
It's got some basics, but needs an unholy amount of work still. Compress file, enhance frames persecond and reduce lag, add a crosshair, different music and a more believable enemy. Lock mouse so that it's not going all over while playing, more realistic bullets style and some actual instructions for the gameplay rather than just saying noob.
I like the game, though some more maneuverability would be very much appreciated. Aside from that all I want to know is who wrote that song, it's quite beautiful.
Not bad, but the difficulty ramps up faster than I can keep up, by the eighth wave the car was almost out of defense points and I had to try and gun it on foot, quickly got killed when I couldn't finish one wave before the next hit. It's a good game, just make the early levels a bit easier.
A good game, love the graphics, might be cool to make the truck a bit more ground worthy instead of able to fly on the slightest whim. Would be cool to also see some flying enemies and maybe a large enemy that you've got to pound on some.
Which enemy?
