v.v After playing for 2 weeks or so, managing top 50, I can say this game is just like Tyrant on how much RNG based it actually is. You can crit 20 times in a match and auto win even with your deck being crap. Or you can never crit once and fail horribly to a deck you should have beat no problem. CCG's with RNG Gimicks such as crit shouldn't exist, it really ruins the idea of trying to build a solid deck and takes away from the CCG genre's experience. Not to mention it's a P2W like almost every other CCG.
1337al, Elements also is quite different from the generic CCG as the games progress system is Extremely slow in comparison. And the majority of it is based on making a deck to try out from Select cards you buy. Not from random booster packs. There is a major difference from individually buying each card vs buying a random pack. Hence why any major CCG/TCG which includes Booster packs is normally a Pay to Win.
To all people who complain about the pay2win. A. it's a free game. B. it's a card game. ALL CARD GAMES IN THE ENTIRE WORLD ARE PAY TO WIN.
Look at Magic the Gathering, Yu-gi-oh, Pokemon. You have to BUY THE CARDS. On another note, they do offer chances for Free players to do well, an example of this is the 1v1 sealed tournaments. These allow players to have 15 random packs which can contain up to 5 star cards. And they have to make a deck out of that. Quite a good way to get used to the tactics and gimicks people use in the game imo.
