Rate the game 1 star for protest,as well as rate all of their games 1 star for protest.
1 star literally be explained by kongregate itself as “hate it”.
"EDIT2: Just FYI, all monsters auto-level with you so grinding wont be of much help, you'll just be fighting enemies with more abilities! (edit2 made at 80 upvotes)"
this is not sounds good.
if it is like this, then where is the meaning of my leveling up and get better equipments?it from a relax thing, now become a race with death, because of since of the enemies always level up with me,and harder and harder to deal with,i have to constantly buy new equipments to ensure in the race i will not defeated by them.
you should change it.
I don't know if I agree. It seems most modern games take the auto-level approach, otherwise a player may unknowingly level up a bit too much and suddenly the game becomes a piece of cake with no challenge at all since you're way above your enemies in skill. Please, lets take this discussion to my shout area so we can keep it all together :)
oh,there is another thing significant, that is while you decide to activated the monster respawn setting, you should meanwhile add a "skip" option which can let players able to skip the battle while they are facing the enemies which they had have already defeated.why the add is significant, because over half of your monster are setted in the key points of roads.after you added the respawn setting,if they can not skip a battle which they had have already did, then it will be very uncomfortable to all players, because when they want to go a place, and needs to cross several maps which they had have already cleared but respawned again, then they have to do a lot of same battles which they had been did and don't want to do again.so,it will be waste of time.the skip button should available before players confront enemies in battle.it should appeared upon the enemies(which players already defeated) in the road map.
should add a arrow or other signal to tell you the direction of the quest(while you are selected some certain quest) ,and it should be show up in the maps.there should have at least 2 maps.1 is the one which already have, and another is a map which contain bigger area.
I'll add a faster run speed toggle soon, my only worry is that players will run directly into enemies accidentally or pass chests/items to pick up. Either way, I'll do it!
"Yeah I definitely plan on continually improving the game and working on future chapters. Hopefully I can build a small fan base that will help me with testing, ideas for the future of LOTV, and maybe even contributing their own art and stories!"
actually there is a game like that.
Anti-Idle: The Game in kongregate,is a game that have already updated 1,436 versions since 2009.Thus,turns this game become a totally different game with the initial version which first time published in 2009.
this game's a lot of art work and conceptions contributed by fans community.you can check this forum:http://www.kongregate.com/forums/60
i find that you even create a independent forum for this game?i have a question that if you will keep updates this game(i mean the one you've already published in kong.)?
Yeah I definitely plan on continually improving the game and working on future chapters. Hopefully I can build a small fan base that will help me with testing, ideas for the future of LOTV, and maybe even contributing their own art and stories!
there is still another problem.
each time i level up i can get new attributes skills, however why my pal's always remain the same one? That means he seems never gain any attributes skills.this can be seen in the comparation between the inventory switch.
meanwhile i find that my pal's skill points increases rate always lower than me.
Rogan gains a new skill every level and his attributes are automatically added. They may be a bit off from what you expect because I use ratios and round down.
“I’ll be making a shorter Arcade version soon where you can just keep fighting randomly grouped enemies :) Should help with testing your build/item combination and also help me prepare for player vs player combat (in the future)”
thank you,but you didn’t get my meaning.
what i want to say was, this game should able to repeat the battles which you’ve already did.
repeat the previous battles can be a big fun in RPG genre games(or the games which have RPG element),famous game such GemCraft Labyrinth, bunng flags 2,Hands of War 2 – Expanded Edition, they all can repeat the previous battles.you can try them yourself.
i have to say your game is already a very good game, therefore i suggest you the battle repeat content, and that can make it even better.
If you guys want the enemies to respawn upvote this!----------------EDIT: Looks like you guys have spoken! I'll add this feature in the next update for sure :)------------EDIT2: Just FYI, all monsters auto-level with you so grinding wont be of much help, you'll just be fighting enemies with more abilities! (edit2 made at 80 upvotes)
should able to respawn the enemies which you've kill at previous location, therefore you can do the battle again.the respawn could happened after you went to another map and then return back.
I'll be making a shorter *Arcade* version soon where you can just keep fighting randomly grouped enemies :) Should help with testing your build/item combination and also help me prepare for player vs player combat (in the future)
