Chests open and contain nothing. The initial 5g I picked up in the first room was glitched, and I got 10,000 g before the glitch went on long enough for me to reboot. Having said gold, I have nowhere to spend it. Spells on scrolls are fine, but you should have the ability to know what they are at least somewhat from their description. The base of the game isn't abysmal, but you have a long way to go before this is playable.
Aside from the key-lag, the game is artistically lovely, and the story plays out nicely. I don't mind a hard game, but jump controls that (aren't quite as bad as but) near the frustration of the Nintendo Power Glove is exhausting at best. I did not have the patience to figure out the T2 baby jump before checkpoints were added.
All of that said, I hope we see more of this artistic creativity. Games that work well are easy enough to come by. Games with creativity are sorely lacking.
Ambiance is spot on. Music is great as well. Gameplay is a little slow and glitchy - froze three times in a row when trying to make the jump in toddler phase.
Once you figure out the scheme, this game is quite fun and challenging. Things like "blinks three times after coughs" is OCD. "Heard talking about missing a lady winkle" is divorced, "plays guitar" is artisan, etc. It really helps if you can nail one of the first cases without asking any questions to get the 6 AP out of the gate.
I really wanted to like this game. In fact, tactical strategy RPGs are my favorite genre of game - FFTactics, Disgaea, La Pucelle, etc. This game, however, is far too slow and far too linear in character development. The graphics and engine are great, but to have such a simplistic system built on a P2W game with timelines like this is an unforgivable combination which has led to the downfall of storylines and franchise games. 2/5, and the 2 is only for the graphics and sound.
I really did NOT like the fact that everything got highlighted. It completely took any challenge out of the game. I love Pastel, but that was disappointing.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game for a few weeks, but the lack of care in the overall programming of the game, coupled with the glitchiness overall, has me quitting completely. This had real potential, too.
(POSSIBLE) TEMPORARY FIX FOR JUMP GLITCH (Firefox tested only): Bear with me here. When you see your character's framerate starting to look static-y, right click on the Flash screen to open the pop-up menu - but do NOT click into it. While the game is "paused" without actually being paused, click on the "+" button to open a new tab. Once the new tab is open, go back to the game tab by clicking on the tab itself on the top of the browser - your game should now actually be paused. Click back into the Flash game screen, and it should somehow stabilize the game. Worked three times in a row, got my 2K on the second try once I was actually able to jump.
Please note I am merely trying to help the group of us who cannot get this game to function properly. I still believe the programmers need to look at this to find out what is going on, but at least this will allow people to get their badge if they can actually get to 2K within the intended mechanics of the game.

Update: I have been to the Canabalt website, and the game works no better there - even though you can use the mouse there to jump. Seems to be a Flash issue or a programming issue - at least it isn't just Kong.
My FPS is jumping all over the place... I seem to be going from 60 to 0 in the course of a second. If I'm trying to jump at a low frame rate, it doesn't allow. It also seems that I can reset my frame rate, but only sometimes... someone besides me must be seeing this.
I have been trying to play this for 15 minutes now, and cannot continue. I have tried cinematic mode, I have tried shutting everything else on my computer down. I have tried changing settings in Flash. Nothing - still completely glitchy, with around 25-30% failure rate to accept jumps - I feel like I'm using the Nintendo Power Glove playing this game. Please fix it.
Really fun roguelike. I would like to see a whole bunch more in-game achievements personally, and the purchased items seem a little lame for each character.
We tested repeatedly and could not replicate the freeze. Was anything specific occurring at the time?
