Fun writing and good art. Puzzles were good for the format. I just wish this guy would make a proper adventure game, though, instead of this Flash "click the hotspots" bastardization.
Sometimes freaky, sometimes depressing, sometimes full of wonder. This is a great game for the atmosphere, original puzzles, and interesting physics-based gameplay. 5/5
I agree that the challenges are just annoying. Too many where you can get killed in the first turn. Also, the badges seem to be broken for me. The Easy and Medium ones haven't triggered even though I've met the conditions, although the Hard one has. Odd
Ugh, also... "So why the %@$# did I die when I was invulnerable....". Because certain cards hurt you even when you have invulnerability. Anything that uses a physical weapon as opposed to a spell, basically.
I agree that Essence of the Soul is way overpriced now. Much better to discard it for the sanity. Kier, earlier versions had you gain 2 taint per turn with Megalomania. I'm guessing he's talking about an earlier game.
"the taint got bugged and started adding 2 on me each round, got to 16 and I died even though before it started I had 46 life and the computer had only about 12"-- That was not a bug, BlackTerror. You went insane with Megalomania. Try not to use all your sanity next time.
Simple, addictive game. Only gripe is that if the cursor goes outside the window, you're hit with a delay to your movement when you bring it back in. That's Kongregate's fault, though.
Competent Advance Wars clone. Poor interface compared to Advance Wars, with a boring, uninspired story. Still worth checking out if you like this sort of game and don't have a DS, though.
I'm a bit annoyed that it's the same challenge, this time for a whole month. I can't even repeat it to get another Chalice.
Stuff like this tempts me to lower the 5/5 I gave it >:(
