The AI on team mates is pretty much the only let down, you know, when EVERY other RPG has controllable team mates its a hint ;). nice to see some voice acting. 4/5
by the way... just get 5 stars on the first 5 levels, unlock the hidden level and pwn that in the face rather than kill the boss... vastly more fun than the silly impossibleness of the boss.
the game is ok, full of great potential, but the levels are just too long... speed up nearly everything, and give the baloons less life to compensate... also WTF? @ first boss... it must be possible but wha? that was like a kick in the face. 3/5.... the difficulty curve is very similar to what I belive is called guitar hero syndrome...
far to small a view area... the explosives all make every other weapon suck... anoyingly hard and just not muc fun mate. still, better luck next time. on a positive note, the title music is awesome.
Is a bit odd, played lots of TD games, like the hero idea, think you have WAY too many turrets. cut it down to 5, stick to the really good ideas that work! a fast weak one, a good all round, a frost, an AA... this wierd upgrade system is also flawed... the turrets cost far to much to upgrade at basic level, do almost no more damage and then stop doing what you bought them for! Incoporating some ideas from protector and DTD would improve it many. 2/5
Don't be unnerved by some of these rather scathing reviews, the game is ok. So the concept has been done before, and so the urchins move at light speed at times. Also, screen is too small. Add some diagonal movement, that or restrict it to side to side moves only, thus freeing up the top and bottom of the screen. One other point... you do know how fast a real sea urchin moves right? ;) 3/5
Just take the tailslide out of the game.... it just ruins combo's. that or have a totally seperate button for it because the rest of this game is so addictive, but the tailslide is pretty bggered.
Aha.. good old clone, nice touch. good visuals, but why did you not incoperate any of DTD's fantastic shortcuts? 1-2-3 for turrets, space send next wave, that sort of thing... other than that cool! I'd consider taking a leaf out of onslaught, make the towers upgradeable in different ways, rather than just one click. Some ideas for you lad! It's all good. 3/5
