I don't think this game can be called an RPG. It's a basic upgrade grinder with abilities for a bit of short-term strategy. If that's you're thing, this is a great game for it, but it's not an RPG. You don't have any semblance of story other than "You're here, there's monsters, kill them all", and that's the only thing that you can do.
