Noticing the names are all from Mystic Quest. That game had awesome music, especially the boss battle. I Hope that I'm going to hear some of it in this game too!
This game would be SO MUCH BETTER if it had a save option! I made it to lv25 and I'd love to give further bitches a try when I have time, but there's no way I'm gonna redo all those levels everytime I want to give it a shot.
I don't understand the medal system. I kill the semifinal boss in 2 turns, taking only 15 damage and I get silver. I scrape through a match taking dozens of turns and I get gold. Please make sense! Also, luck plays a very important role.
Great game and music. I want to give this game a 4.5. I won't give it a 5 cuz I miss the option to start the game with 8+ balls. With that option, this game would be awesome to train your reflexes. Now it's a bit of a drag to have to go through the boring early levels again and again.
And the game is addictive enough to deserve an impossible badge (for 12 or 13 balls)
Fun game with a very doable Impossible badge. Couple of hints:
1) Stay focused at all times. Don't take semi-easy floors for granted. This badge cost me like 3 or 4 hours because I kept making stupid and avoidable mistakes.
2) Don't rush to the top of the screen if you don't know what's there. An unexpected snail can push you down and kill you
3) The Skull item is your best friend, followed by the Hourglass. Don't exchange them just cuz there's a white gem next to an item bag, especially after floor 50.
4) Any Jumper is a potential target for your Skull item. These bastards have caused so many stressful situations that just the sound of their hopping strikes fear into mey heart.
This is more a helicopter than a physics game. To win, first make a small platform where the ball can fall on. To move the ball after release, click and hold right under the ball and it will start to follow your track. Guide it to the cave/dragon's mouth to complete the level.
Funny 'ending': Put the scarecrow in your bed, then 'wait' 2 hours inside your cell.
"I don't know what you're trying to pull with that scarecrow, but it's solitary for you boy!"
Game over message: *To play it safe, he put you both in solitary*
Good game. But I don't like how luck is such a big factor against the last Shadow boss. There's not much that you can do if he speeds up, dodges my Electro/Shatter Bolts (even while Crippled) and then 1-hits one of my mates. Perhaps the problem is using a Destroyer...
Fun to play, but much too easy. I accidentally spent all 10 points on my knight at the beginning, which SHOULD be it a bad start, but still breezed through the game. Bigger variety of enemies would be nice too, such as snipers shooting from high or island-like areas that can only be reached by my ranged units. Also an idea might be to make a battle triangle: melee is strong against archer is strong against magic is strong against melee. This would force me to balance out my team and think about where to spend my points, instead of being able to beat the game with 1 overlevelled super saiyen.
Great game. I loved playing through it TWICE
Concerning the music, I was wondering... 2 tunes sounded very familiar. Did Pseudolonewolf got his inspiration for Gloria's theme from Illusion of Time/Gaia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCC-fxMCKuM&feature=related) and for the Volcano theme from Final Fantasy VII's Barrett's background story theme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4rbG5gmk8k)? These songs gave me feelings of nostalgy to the tunes I mentioned.
Point of critique **Medal spoiler**
The 100,000 steps medal made me a little angry. I ended up having to spend 2 full hours pacing around the throne room after I got to only 65k steps (in my 2nd playthrough) after beating Quilna. Same with the Damage Taken and Number of Battles medals. It's almost as if you're being punished for playing efficiently. Having to grind these medals afterward was neither fun nor challenging and shouldn't taint an otherwise great piece of art.
