I agree Zombies are the only challenge. I think the strategy is to stack lone zombies up front in the beginning so you'r not wasting shottie shell on 1 zombie, and just kill when a pack of 3+ gathers. Not sure if that's too much health lost over time though.
ctf: 3 max quakeboxes, 20 gunmen, grenade launcher (upgrade so the bars are equal). You can last indefinitely, but the game really slows down at around 11 minutes.
This is the greatest flash game EVER! I started last year and have been playing it on and off ever since. The basic settings are easy, but you can invent personal challenges to make the game super fun. Some challenges: longest back-and-forth (mine is ~220 hits), all-1s vs all-10s with no game losses, tourney as Anna with no match losses, all-10s vs all-10s playing only off the court is super fun, all-10s vs all-1s not allowed to direct shots (center only), playing one-handed
there are some glitches. Sometimes soldiers break and just stand in one place, they'll die/shoot back, but they're not entrenched and don't walk forward.
During the campaign, throwing gas makes all soldiers die immediately, but I just played custom battle and it took a while for soldiers to die in a gas clud (some would just stay through it alive).
I beat all maps on medium using the same strat: build a Tack, upgrade it fully (you may let a couple of guys pass, but don't worry about it). Then get a cannon, up it, get a few more. Use bombs/spikes later on when appropriate. Get a Beacon (up the top only), then get a Super Monkey (around 3 waves after the first Zeppelin), then keep getting cannons/bombs and you'll win. You'll need to time bombs to win. I got an Ice Ball for 4th map to protect the bottom curve before the zeppelin.
finally!
84 was the toughest one for me
92 was the last difficult one because it wouldn't take all the normal words, I had to google for synonyms
after 93-100 were pretty easy
