The funny thing is that paying doesn't affect the balance too much, it's all luck in what you get from the packs to be fair.

@GamesOnTheBrain, the EVE packs were introduced little over a week ago. You get 300 gold for winning a standard arena battle, and a bonus of 250 gold. you can collect this bonus up to 25 times a day. 250x25=6250 gold a day.
