The game runs smooth and looks alright, though it looks super inspired by Nimbus. The big problem is the keyboard keymapping. You should allow for custom keymapping, as I don't think space fits for jumping at all. I'd rather use the key next to the attack key. Another thing, in combat hitboxes are very unclear and I couldn't tell if I was hitting the enemy or if I myself was being hit.
Check out the standalone version (both demo and full) Here you can customize your keymapping. Not sure what is unclear about the combat hitboxes, each part got its own hitbox. So basically when you got a bigger body you will be easier to hit.
My face when I crashed exactly as I finally hit 1000. Held my attention until I got all the badges, just over 10 minutes. My experience was that until 700 the game is completely fair. 700-900 you need some luck in what patterns you get to make it, as rodeo turns, the red walls and especially double turns just blocked your view completely. This counted double at 900-1000, but with the addition that collision detection started to get questionable and a hint at the possibility of being able to go out of bounds.
That Aerodrone song is one of the worst pieces of music (so called) that I have been forced to sit through to do or get something else in years. I kind of like the game when I choose my own songs, but I quit the game as soon as I reached the 50000 point mark on Aerodrone.
Played this game way too much, so I created a meta-challenge. Solve the board until you have one part to go, then try to solve it another way. Not always possible, but some times it lets you do it.
1: Tyrannosaurs lose more calories running than bunnyhopping.
2: The hardest obstacle is a treadmill reversal.
3: Wind is much more of an obstacle when it's at your back.
4: The game's biggest crime is that the "SPIN TIME!" text blocks spiky balls from view.
5: You only ever die to spikes.
6: It will never ever land on "Win the game"
The 4th Factory Balls game and still not a real mute button. Being able to mute the music in some of these games is an improvement, but I REALLY think you should be able to mute all sounds.
Well, wow, I just finished the game, that went a lot quicker than I expected. Around level 30-40 I stopped using Escape Wings altogether. I didn't need to retreat and I didn't die once, going all the way to beat the end boss. The challenge became nonexistant as long as I was able to heal now and then. Magic was useless besides the heal spells.
Cool little dungeon crawler. It's odd that you don't really get xp, combat is pointless other than the little gold you get, so you lose more than you gain from killing monsters. It's still entertaining though, but there should be hotkeys for spells.
