All right, this is really annoying. The very first time Hank is down, guess what? I CAN'T HELP HIM EITHER! What. The. Hell. I'm not replaying the whole game just because of that. Oh, and lowering rating because the bug is so annoying. (And yes, I know that "G" is supposed to help him.)
I can't seem to be able to complete some achievements - namely those concerning locks. There are just not enough locks in the whole darn city!
Other than that, perfect. Played it already before it appeared on Kong and it's well worth replaying. 5/5.
The inability to make tactical decisions in a battle is annoying. The language is horrendous. Some names are obvious rip-offs (Coruscant, anyone?). Other than that, no so bad. I'll play for a while longer and see if I can get to like it (more).
There's one problem I have with the game: too little exp. I finished the game at lvl14 and some 25%. That means that to get the Man of War ship, I'd have to attack random ships for several hours, and to get the Big, for many more. And with no purpose to getting a better ship, why bother? Thus, my suggestion: optional sidequests. All in all, a solid 4/5, barring several issues I mentioned earlier. Still a lot of unrealized potential.
North of Tobago, beyond the edge of the map, there is the island Santa Catalina (with an Aztec/Inca pyramid on top).
Ship available to buy: Victory (1000 armor, 8 knots, 350 capacity, cannons 6x17, req. level 9). 400k coins.
Why, oh why aren't there badges? How awesome could the names be? Knee-deep in zombies? Guts on the windshield?
Also, I'm surprised at the relatively low rating of this game. It's original, challenging and addictive. What more do you people want?
I'm now in a situation where my defense troop is better than my main character: it has Tactics at 1000 while I only managed to get my main to about 600... Too bad there isn't a Tactics book; it would make sense...
Engaging, challenging and fun. The only prob I see is the (semi-)random placement of the obstacles. Depending on luck rather than skill is acceptable, but not overmuch so. Still, for me, a solid 4/5.
This is a perfect example of an unnecessarily difficult game. It's not challenging (like some other games), it's annoying. I'm not bothering with BotD today.
