Nah, this didn't work.
It's a puzzle game - I should have to think around the problems. As it was, all the problems were very easily thought through, just rather laborious to complete ('bounce a ball 100 times off these paddles'). Not challenging, just annoying.
This would be a really interesting game, but the poor collision detection between the ball and the line makes it so frustrating there's no point playing it.
Perfectly serviceable shooter. It needs;
1.) A mute option for sound as well as music. 2.) An autofire button. 3.) A checkpoint or some other save system. 4.) Slightly smaller ships. There's not enough room on screen.
Very cute and very well made, but this game misses a couple of obvious elements of fishing that would make the gameplay more varied. 1. Fish should fight back, and reeling in too hard should be able to snap the line. 2. You should have to wiggle the lure to attract the fish. Different fish could be attracted to different types of movement. 3. There should be an option to pay out, as well as reel in, line.
It's... OK, but I suppose in this sort of game there's relatively little scope to be inventive. Inevitably you have to compare it to 5/6 Differences, and I think they had a much cooler, more interesting aesthetic to them. Still, good effort and all that.
Loads of comments here say 'it's rigged' or 'it's just luck'. Firstly it obviously isn't rigged, and secondly, 'it's just luck'? Yeah, and? Craps, poker, dominos - all luck, and they're more popular than any Flash game will ever be.
Great game, simple but infuriatingly addictive.
The tracks and the overall aesthetic of the game are extremely unimaginative. It's poorly balanced - only three towers (the tack shooter, the cannon, and the beacon) are required to beat any map on 'hard' with little fuss. The targeting system is unworkable - there needs to be an option to target the highest rated target (so you have your towers firing at low grade balloons because an MOAB is in mid-pack and can't be targeted). For a series that's had three games to get the mechanics right, this is quite poor.
