Damn. Just finished episode 11, and... well, Sent is creeping me out on multiple levels. Whatever's going on, it's been planned for a long time, and the selection of 'contestants' was no accident...
I'm seconding the idea that you get 1 diamond when you a get a girl to Lover the 2nd+ time. Or add something to your multiplier for prestige. SOMETHING. Right now, there's no reason to even talk to a girl you've gone all the way through once. There's no reward for it.
About Mihilion's point - one way to fix this would be to put a diamond refund button into the game, allowing you to reallocated diamonds at will. That way, players can regain and respend their diamonds whenever a relevant update comes up. (Of course, you could also game the system a bit with that... buy one of the cheaper but less valuable upgrades early on, and then refund it to buy a better one... Not a huge difference, though, and there will be fewer bad feelings.)
Anyway, that's the last one for tonight, I've already been on here too damn long. This game is addicting.
So I got up to Iconoclast in the Artist job while offline... and it says it takes 1 time slot. If this is not a glitch, it totally makes up for that job's annoying habit of taking more time each level.
As odd as it is, I think it kind of makes sense that the Artist job takes more time as you level it up. I have a friend who's an artist - she practically breathes it. When you do it for a living, it eats your life. (I don't mean that negatively, necessarily, it's just how things go.)
kingedyou... with all the work this game needs in terms of actual playability, you want them to spend time rigging it so that cheating won't glitch out the game? Are you serious? The game isn't designed for that BS, it's not their fault you broke it.
Nerdtendo must have been cheating (or lying), because it's physically impossible to max out Cassie without at least unlocking Quill and Iro. Maybe if you'd just done it you would have figured it out...
So, I've seen several people mention the oddity with Angst - I don't know what's up with it, but it's slower than Mysterious and Lucky for the first few levels and then starts speeding up. Lower exponential multiplier, I guess?
Fun fact: assuming that the equation for the hobbies that I found is accurate (time to next level is 30*1.8^current level), then without multipliers it would take longer than the average human lifespan to go from level 31 to level 32. With the max multiplier available, it would (again) take more than a human's life span to go from 35 to 36. No point trying to get Quill and Mio past Sweetheart, you don't have enough time on this Earth! (And yes, I know it's weird that I did the math for this.)
Correction - Quill's affection requirement isn't that big (about on par with Elle's), it just becomes very tedious when you have to get her level up so high to unlock luck. For the other girls, you can raise their favorite stat as soon as you unlock them.
One thing that I think it would be nice to have - being able to spend more time on a hobby. If I have 9 time slots, and I really just want to get one stat up, it'd be nice to be able to get a 3x multiplier on that stat - or job, whatever. Other than that... is there a reason that Quill is so ridiculously hard? Not only can you not raise your Luck until way later, but her affection requirements are astronomical! Is this intentional, or was she balanced poorly?
I hate it when people order veggie or cheddar dogs... the cook time is so short that I can't do anything else til they're done, it completely screws up my multi-task flow.
I think it's sad that the little girl seems to be the only one who really remembers you. All the others leave and stop crying, but she's still crying as she walks away...
One of my least favorite things about this game is that, by the time you pay off the debt, the items you get aren't really that good... Think I'll pay debt-free next time, that's a lot of gold I could have used elsewhere.
Wow. This is probably one of the best games I've seen on here. It requires a lot of thought to complete, and is interesting without being flashy... I gotta say, the first time I had to look something up, it threw me off for a bit. I was frantically going over all of the information in the game, trying to find what I needed... and then I realized, the Chicago Tribune is a real thing and there's a date on that email.
Analytics tells us that only 1% of the audience is using time cheats, so yeah we're going to focus on improving hobbies/time/balance first : )
