This game is CRAZY FUN. Normally TD games get monotonous for me, but the fusion of story progression and the many upgrade options keep is fresh. Definitely getting the full game off Steam, especially with it being on sale at the moment.
Is there any way to check stats aside from trying to sell equipment? And any way to see enemy stats? Agility runes don't feel that useful if you've got three and every monster on the screen is still somehow faster.
I also don't understand what some of the stuff does, like people which I guess affects boarding? Sails might do something about speed... I also have no idea what difference shooting enemy sails actually does, and I had to learn the other two options through trial an error. Also, 5000 for an attack double that of powder at 500 seems ludicrous, and makes to Dutchman fight difficult (for me at least, I had to keep going back and earning more cash so I wouldn't run out mid-battle). But overall a very fun game, with an interesting concept.
Another problem is the high speeds (which seem to occur way too early). They make it impossible to safely finish a berserker line - it's possible to get hit before reaching the last zombie in the line, with no way to tell until it happens. So you either end up risking it or jumping early and losing a combo. The speed also affects the fatso jumps - you can be launched over the first zombie or two and lose a combo that way, or hit the down key and pray you don't smack into the cliff edge.
The dojo system is kind of confusing, since only it and the shop use the drag mechanic. And it takes a while to understand what each scroll does, as the game doesn't tell you. Additionally, the thunder scroll appears to be the least useful - while convenient, it doesn't really change a run.
All I can get is three pages with dull square grids and one bright blue, pink, or yellow square. Clicking the bright square just rotates the pages. Is this the game or is something wrong, because I literally cannot do anything else.
Pretty neat, although seeing the "you should change the quality level!" reccomendation every 30 seconds gets old REALLY fast, especially when quality is maxed.
Similar problems to the others, plus having to leave the shop after a day of selling whether you want to or not is annoying, and it would be nice to be able to see how much cash you have on the main page. Some kind of storage for items you don't want to accidentally sell could be good too.
I like that finding an impressive broad katar is shortened to "Got Impressive Broad". On another note, is anyone getting a weird thing where 20 damage has an extra 0 (no extra damage, thank God) or the number 200 just hangs above a character?
