I'm having trouble with the chatbox often being locked out, for some reason. Reloading usually lets me chat until I start playing again. Has anyone else had this problem? Mac 10.6/Chrome.
Great concept, excellent game, I loved it. The futuristic style is nice, and the music fits. The UI's a little unpolished, but that's fine, especially since this is still a beta.
It'd be great if manual firing still worked without ammo, just with reduced firepower. When you know your defenses will hold it's fun to hop in and shoot without worrying about things like running dry.
I reloaded the game ten times for the achievement (Not sure why it's there - a time-based achievement would probably work just as well), and it reset my levels(from 37 to 0), but nothing else. As a result, finishing off Smart/Insane pushed me right up to level 17, awarding me skillpoints a second time. I'm playing in Google Chrome on an iMac running OSX10.6.2, if that helps.
Awesome game, one of the best I've played in a while. It could be even better with multiplayer, but I know too well how hard that is to implement. 5/5, favourited.
This game is awesome. It's hard, very hard, on easy mode(eeeh? easy modo?) it gets challenging near the end. I declare this to be the puzzle game equivalent of Touhou :D
What really grabs me, though, is the absolutely awesome slide-out of the levels when you finish them. It's nothing new, but it's wonderfully executed. 5/5, favourited. :D
Great to see a game with its roots in X-COM, but seriously, it sucks. The overall quality is poor, the writing is patchy at best, the weapons are poorly balanced (Railgun is overpowered, didn't even bother with plasma), the ending cutscene is... seriously. What the heck. X-COM's ending sequence was far better in every way and that game is what, eighteen years old. It's also ridiculously easy, simply continuing after defeat, it looks like the developer realized it was unbalanced and didn't bother fixing it. 2/5, and only because I liked X-COM.
Not only does the menu button take you directly to the menu without autosave, but trying to play after that results in an intangible walker shooting tangible rockets at you. Persistent units. It's a big, fix it. Cool game, though.
The combat is sluggish, but it's really the only complaint I can come up with. The gameplay is fun, it has an positively awesome backstory, and the lack of music is easily mitigated by playing my own in the background. 5/5 :D
A system to eliminate griefers is absolutely necessary in this sort of game. I can wait for private rooms, but in the meantime we need some other way of doing so. In any case, 1/5 due to lack thereof. Pity, it's a good game suffering terribly from GITS.
Playing casually, with no regard for the greedy king(ha!). It's surprisingly hard to kick the team you started with, and much easier to do so with the level 10 rookies. ^^
You can max out too easily, after that it's grind. It's really before you max out though. 4/5
lol, and why do people keep asking for the cheats? I'm not really good at these games, and I find no need for them.
It's fun, has nice music, and isn't too hard. Really, I don't think there IS anything wrong with the game, other than it doesn't let me go past 16. Nice minimalistic design, too. 5/5
While there are bugs(expected) the gameplay is actually fairly good. IMHO it has one very major problem - no music. Background music is what makes good games shine, and the lack of any music detracts from the fun immensely.
A grid-snap feature would have been nice, too, if just to make saving that extra funding a little easier. 2/5, would have been 4/5 with some decent background music on.
