We're going to do a major release of Kongai this week including bug fixes, animation improvements, single-player, starter cards, match chat, and lobby code improvements. Once that is in we'll let in a bunch more people, and keep letting them in for a while.
The 95 cards is a bug -- it's including special versions and replays of each card. There are 45 unique cards currently. 20 characters, 25 items. More sets are coming, though we will have a separate beta for those to get the balancing right.
Hey guys, if you had problems playing or getting the game to load late last night that was due to some network problems at our hosting provider, all fixed now.
Hey guys -- FYI don't stress too much about stats in the Beta. We'll be wiping them when we launch the game for real. So the good news is that the bogus losses because of the undefined bug will be erased. The bad news is that you start back at 0 wins. But I'm sure you guys will make that up quickly playing n00bs!
Good suggestions, guys. BenV just finished match chat today, so that'll be in the next release, probably along with single-player. It's another tab in chat, though -- we decided to keep it there for consistency and because there's so much crammed into the interface already.
I'd love to see more stats, too. I think average # of switches and intercepts would be particularly interesting. (Catch those switchwhores out ;-) )
Hey all. So you know there are a few features still in development that will be released over the next few weeks: sound effects and music, single-player, match chat with an opponent profile, star rankings based on wins (they are just random now), ranked matches, challenge a friend, and various animation enhancements/refinements. We'll also be fixing bugs (like the health & energy bars not updating on deck cards) and balancing characters.
I agree with pixelate about having more variety of enemies, and perhaps more enemies overall -- they feel few and far between once you get off the ground. I also felt occasionally that the hit detection was a little off on the monkey bars. I also agree with all the good things people have said!
From the name I thought this was going to be the first game we were going to have to delete from Kong for content reasons, so I'm very happy to find it's a quality version of solitaire. Yayz
I think those who didn't vote 5 were too cowardly to leave comments. But Greg and Chris were wishing something special would happen at 100. Maybe they rated it down?
Yup--the instructions could be a little clearer, but addictive once you get it figured out. The instructions below the game help more than the in-game instructions
